The present invention relates to a process for the production of a rigid polyurethane foam or rigid polyisocyanurate foam, comprising the reaction of at least one polyisocyanate and of a polyol composition (PZ), where the polyol composition (PZ) comprises at least one compound having at least two hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanate groups and at least one compound (I) selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic diesters of dicarboxylic acids having from 2 to 18 C atoms and tricarboxylic triesters of tricarboxylic acids having from 3 to 18 C atoms, where at least one blowing agent is used during the reaction. The present invention further relates to rigid polyurethane foams or rigid polyisocyanurate foams obtainable or obtained by such a process, and also to a polyol composition (PZ) at least comprising one compound having at least two hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanate groups and at least one compound (I) selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic diesters of dicarboxylic acids having from 2 to 18 C atoms and tricarboxylic triesters of tricarboxylic acids having from 3 to 18 C atoms. The present invention also relates to the use of such a polyol composition (PZ) for the production of rigid polyurethane foams or rigid polyisocyanurate foams, and also to the use of a rigid polyurethane foam or rigid polyisocyanurate foam of the invention as, or for the production of, insulation materials, preferably insulation sheets, sandwich elements, hot-water tanks, boilers, coolers, insulation foams, refrigerators or freezers.

Method for producing a rigid polyurethane foam

A flexible discontinuous process produces a series of at least two articles containing thermally insulating polyurethane foam from at least three streams (A), (B) and (C). The process involves mixing the at least three streams with different mixing ratios and injecting the mixture into cavities of the articles. A production unit can be used for performing this process.

The present invention relates to a process for the production of composite elements comprising a first and a second outer layer, a vacuum insulation panel between the two outer layers, rigid polyurethane foam in contact with the first outer layer and the underside of the vacuum insulation panel, and also rigid polyurethane foam in contact with the second outer layer and the upper side of the vacuum insulation panel, comprising application of a reaction mixture (R1) for the production of a rigid polyurethane foam onto the first outer layer, bringing the lower side of a vacuum insulation panel into contact with the unhardened reaction mixture (R1), application of a reaction mixture (R2) for the production of a rigid polyurethane foam to the upper side of the vacuum insulation panel, bringing the second outer layer into contact with the layer of the unhardened reaction mixture (R2), and finally hardening of the two rigid polyurethane foam systems (R1) and (R2) to give the composite element. The present invention further relates to composite elements thus obtainable, and also to the use of a composite element of the invention or of a composite element obtainable by a process of the invention, as component for refrigeration equipment or as construction material.

Sandwich structure including a VIP and method for producing the same

A sensor unit in the VIP provides a panel condition signal that corresponds to a measurement value of a physical property of the VIP. The physical property influences temperature of the object. A short-distance transmitter unit transmits a first coding of the PCS inside the Container, a long-distance transmitter unit transmits a second coding of the PCS to a remote server for processing the PCS. The server determines a representation of an operation state of the transport container, wherein the operation state is related to the temperature of the object. The material of the VIP is classified and differentiated so that transmitting parameters depend on the material.
