The invention relates to a method for operating a fuel cell system, in particular a PEM fuel cell system, in which an anode gas is supplied to an anode () of a fuel cell via a supply path (), and is fed back via a recirculation path () connected to the anode (), wherein hydrogen is used as the anode gas. According to the invention, during the start up of the fuel cell system, the anode gas is supplied to a drying device (), in particular an adsorber, via at least one normally open valve (), and water is extracted from the anode gas using the drying device (). The invention also relates to a fuel cell system, in particular a PEM fuel cell system, which is suitable for carrying out the method.

Method and device for operating a vehicle

A condensing system for a battery in a vehicle and a method for condensing moisture in a battery are provided. In one embodiment, the condensing system includes a battery housing, which surrounds a battery interior. At least one battery cell is arranged in the interior. An inlet opening is arranged in the battery housing, for a cooling fluid entering the battery interior. A first outlet opening and a second outlet opening are both arranged in the battery housing. The first outlet opening is in fluid communication with the cooling fluid emerging from the battery interior. A condensing device is arranged in the battery interior and is in fluid communication with the cooling fluid and causes moisture present in the battery interior to condense. The condensed moisture emerges into the environment through the second outlet opening.

A method for determining a velocity of headwind flowing in the direction of a vehicle, based on a coolant mass flow of a coolant flowing through a heat exchanger of a cooling device of the vehicle, and an air mass flow flowing through the heat exchanger and triggered by the headwind, includes: determining a temperature drop of the coolant mass flow; determining the air mass flow responsible for the temperature drop of the coolant mass flow; and determining the velocity of the headwind flowing in the direction of the vehicle, based on the air mass flow responsible for the temperature drop of the coolant mass flow.

A fuel injection valve is characterized in that a multi-fan stream nozzle is shaped, downstream from a fixed valve seat that is provided on the inner wall of a valve sleeve, directly into the valve sleeve itself. The multi-fan stream nozzle is integrated directly in the region of a bulge formed at the downstream end of the valve sleeve. The multi-fan stream nozzle, serving as an atomization device, possesses a plurality of slit-shaped spray openings, so that from the sheets of liquid emerging from the spray openings, sheet packets are formed in which individual sheets of liquid extend divergently from one another. Introduction of the spray openings into the deep-drawn valve sleeve is effected using ultrashort-pulse laser technology. The fuel injection valve is suitable in particular for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing spark-ignited internal combustion engines.

A fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine includes an energizable actuator, a valve needle, which is in operative connection with the actuator and acted upon by a restoring spring in a closing direction to actuate a valve-closure member, which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface formed at a valve-seat body. The valve-seat body includes at least two spray-discharge orifices. The pressure of the fuel flowing through the fuel injector is greater than 10 bar.

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a solenoid coil, a valve needle that is in operative connection with the solenoid coil and acted upon by a restoring spring in a closing direction in order to actuate a valve-closure member which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface formed at a valve-seat member, and at least two spray-discharge orifices, which are formed in the valve-seat member. In a discharge region, the spray-discharge orifices are in connection with capillaries formed in the end face of the valve-seat member.

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines has a solenoid coil; a valve needle that is operatively connected to the solenoid coil and acted upon by a restoring spring in a closing direction, in order to actuate a valve-closure member which, together with a valve-seat surface formed at a valve-seat member, forms a sealing seat; and at least two spray-discharge orifices which are formed in the valve-seat member. The spray-discharge orifices are formed in the valve-seat member in such a way that they are shielded from mixture flows circulating in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.

A fuel injection valve for fuel injection valve systems of internal combustion engines is described, having an energizable actuating element, a valve closing element which is axially movable along a valve longitudinal axis and which works in conjunction with a rigid valve seat that is provided on a valve seat element so as to open and close the valve, and at least one exit opening that is provided downstream from the valve seat. As the injection valve is of the inward-opening type, the opening movement of the valve closing element is oriented away from the exit opening and the closing movement of the valve closing element is oriented toward the exit opening. Fuel flows completely through the interior of the valve closing element, and the valve seat element has an inner trough-shaped recess, so that the opening movement of the valve closing element is fuel-pressure-assisted, due to a flow inversion upstream of the valve seat.

A fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is provided, which injector includes a valve needle having at its spray-discharge end a valve-closure member, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface formed on a valve-seat member to form a sealing seat. At least one swirl channel is provided in a section of the valve-seat member surrounding the valve needle, and at least one spray-discharge orifice is provided in the valve-seat member. The at least one swirl channel, when viewed through the swirl channel in the flow direction of the fuel, is inclined counter to the spray-discharge direction relative to the center axis of the valve needle.

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a valve needle and a valve closing body, which is operationally linked to it and cooperates with a valve seat face situated in a valve seat body to form a sealing seat. Upstream from the sealing seat there is at least one swirl channel, which has a tangential component relative to the longitudinal axis of the fuel injector. An axial channel, which is formed between the valve closing body and the guide recess of the valve seat body, has an axial component relative to the longitudinal axis of the fuel injector, the axial channel being formed between the guide recess and at least one flattened area on the valve needle.

A fuel injector, in particular for direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, is equipped with a valve-closure member which together with a valve-seat surface that is formed on a valve-seat body constitutes a sealing seat, with an ejection orifice and with a swirl module. The swirl module incorporates a plurality of tubular hollow bodies which are disposed parallel to one another in a cluster and which impart turbulence to the fuel flowing towards the ejection orifice through the fuel ducts formed in the hollow bodies.

A method and an arrangement for influencing a vehicle in dependence upon travel paths are suggested. A travel path on which an automatic vehicle influencing is intended to take place can be programmed and when this travel path is traveled by the vehicle, the automatic influencing of the vehicle takes place.
