A method is for monitoring tire states and/or sensor states. The method includes the steps: a) capturing whether at least one tire sensor module for measuring tire states and/or sensor states is present in a monitoring region; b) determining whether the captured tire sensor module is unknown; c) evaluating data messages from the at least one captured and unknown tire sensor module, the evaluation including at least comparing at least one tire state transmitted via the data message with a limit value therefor and/or monitoring a sensor state of the tire sensor module transmitted via the data message; and, d) outputting a warning signal if a tire state exceeds or undershoots the respective limit value in order to indicate that a tire state of a tire assigned to the at least one unknown tire sensor module is critical and/or if a critical sensor state is detected.

Method for monitoring tire states and/or sensor states and a monitoring system therefor

A method via which tire modules can be associated with tire positions on a vehicle includes: inputting vehicle data and tire information via a mobile detecting device; analyzing the input information via the detecting device; providing an instruction to the user of the detecting device indicating the first tire for performing a first tire module identification; positioning the detecting device near the first tire which is specified by the detecting device; activating an inquiry signal having a transmission frequency specified by the detecting device and a specified signal amplitude to a tire module arranged in the tire, wherein the tire module includes at least one sensor for tire-pressure monitoring; capturing a response signal from the tire module, wherein the response includes the identification data of the tire module; and, evaluating the response signal of the tire module and associating the identified tire module with a tire position.

Method for associating tire positions on a vehicle having a tire pressure monitoring system

The invention relates to a method for monitoring and detecting the detachment of a tire module from the inner face of the tire, having the following steps: measuring the centrifugal acceleration on a tire module by an acceleration sensor arranged in the tire module; forwarding the measured acceleration values to an evaluation unit; analyzing the acceleration values upon acceleration of the vehicle in the starting phase or upon constant low speeds of the vehicle; activating a warning signal in the evaluation unit, insofar as the analysis of the acceleration values results in a statistically significant standard deviation in comparison to a not detached tire module from the inner face of another tire, thus detecting a freely tumbling tire module in the hollow space of the tire; outputting a warning signal indicating which tire module has detached from the inner face of the tire to the vehicle owner.
