The invention relates to an electrochemical cell unit for storing electrical energy, in which the electrochemical cell unit includes at least two lithium-ion pouch cells, a planar element for orienting the at least two lithium-ion pouch cells, and a cell carrier. The at least two lithium-ion pouch cells are provided in the cell carrier and are in electrical contact. The at least two lithium-ion pouch cells also have a first and a second terminal lug. The planar element is provided, preferably centrally, in the cell carrier and in addition, is sandwiched between the at least two lithium-ion pouch cells, at least some portions of the planar element being in contact with the pouch cells.

Cell unit, energy storage module and method for the assembly thereof

An energy storage module comprising a plurality of electrochemical cells for storing electric energy and comprising at least one contacting device for electrically contacting the plurality of electrochemical cells. Each of the electrochemical cells has a first flat connection lug for contacting a first electrode of the respective electrochemical cell and a second flat connection lug for contacting a second electrode of the respective electrochemical cell. The electrochemical cells are arranged in a stacked formation and form a cell pack such that the first and second flat connection lugs extend outwards from two opposing sides of the cell pack in an at least substantially perpendicular manner. According to the invention, the at least one contacting device is substantially comb-shaped in particular and has a plurality of teeth which are formed and arranged such that a first or second connection lug is or can be received between two adjacent teeth.

The present disclosure provides a battery pack including a housing, wherein the housing has a bottom portion and side walls extending upward around a periphery of the bottom portion; an upper portion opening is formed at top ends of the side walls extending upward; an upper cover is mounted on the upper portion opening of the housing; and the battery pack comprises: multiple flat battery cells; and a first end plate and a second end plate, wherein when the multiple battery cells are sequentially arranged and mounted into the housing from the upper portion opening, the first end plate and the second end plate are located at two end sides of the sequentially arranged multiple battery cells to laterally fix the sequentially arranged multiple battery cells. The two end plates may absorb deformation of the battery cell while expanding.

A cell assembly, having a cell frame, into which bus bars and a thermal plate are integrated, and a lithium-ion pouch cell having a first face and a second face opposite the first face are provided. The pouch cell further includes positive and negative cell terminals arranged at a top end of the pouch cell, and a compression element. The cell frame is configured to receive and house the pouch cell and the compression element in a space defined by the thermal plate and the cell frame.

The present disclosure provides a battery pack including: multiple flat battery cells, a housing, a bearing plate and an upper cover, wherein a middle recessed portion is formed between the protruding battery cell anode and battery cell cathode disposed on the top portion of each of the multiple battery cells; a surface of the middle recessed portion is provided with at least one seal-breakable opening arranged to discharge the gas generated in the battery cell when broken; the multiple middle recessed portions at the top portions of the multiple battery cells form a battery top portion through-slot; a bottom portion of the bearing plate is provided with a bearing plate bottom portion through-slot; the bearing plate bottom portion through-slot is press-fitted with the battery top portion through-slot to form a lateral gas discharging passage wherein one end of the lateral gas discharging passage is provided with an outlet, and another end of the lateral gas discharging passage is blocked. The gas discharging passage of the present disclosure utilizes the existing structures of the battery pack without additionally designing a separate specific gas discharging passage.

The invention relates to an energy storage module comprising a plurality of electrochemical cells for storing electric energy and comprising at least one contacting device for electrically contacting the plurality of electrochemical cells. Each of the plurality of electrochemical cells has a first flat connection lug for contacting a first electrode of the respective electrochemical cell and a second flat connection lug for contacting a second electrode of the respective electrochemical cell. The present disclosure includes a battery module having a power assembly that includes a plurality of battery cells and a plurality of bus bars that electrically couples a terminal of each of the plurality of battery cells to a terminal of an adjacent battery cell of the plurality of battery cells. The battery module also includes a lead frame that includes a plurality of cell taps respectively electrically coupled to the plurality of bus bars of the power assembly, and a plurality of leads that extends from the plurality of cell taps. The lead frame also includes a plurality of broken interconnects that electrically isolates the plurality of cell taps from one another and electrically isolates the plurality of leads from one another.

An electrochemical accumulator includes a plurality of electrochemical cells, each of which has a casing. The accumulator also includes a cover, a housing which is closed by the cover, an electrolyte in the housing, and at least one connecting pole for making electrical contact with the accumulator, where the connecting pole is electrically connected to a group of the electrochemical cells. The accumulator also includes a cooling air area for holding cooling air for cooling the cells and a degassing area for holding a gas which emerges from the cells in the event of a defect. The cooling air area and the degassing area are separated from one another in a gas-tight manner and the cooling air area and the degassing area are passed out of the housing independently of one another. The cooling air area has channels which are guided on the casings of the cells outside the cells.
