Systems and methods for location-based assignment of client device data are disclosed. A system can maintain data records associated with a player profile. The system can receive a request to access the player profile from a client device and determine location data of the client device. If the location data satisfies a first category, the system can filter the data records based on a data record type to generate a subset of data records and generate a first aggregate data record value based on a data record value of the subset of data records. If the location data satisfies a second location category, the system can generate a second aggregate data record value based on the data record value of each the data records. The system can provide, for display at the client device, an interface indicating the first aggregate data record value or the second aggregate data record value.

Location-based assignment of client device data

A request is received to upgrade firmware for disk array enclosures (DAEs). Each DAE is reachable by a host server using first and second paths. The first path extends from a first port of a first HBA of the host server to each of a set of first input/output modules (IOMs) in the DAEs. The first IOMs have first SAS expanders to which storage disks are connected. The second path extends from a second port of a second HBA of the host server to each of a set of second IOMs in the DAEs. The second IOMs have second SAS expanders to which the disks are connected. The first port is changed from a first state during which a SAS driver exposes all topology change events to an OS of the host server to a second state during which the SAS driver does not expose all of the topology change events.

SAS driver-level systems and methods for upgrading firmware for disk array enclosures (DAEs)

Embodiments are directed to a method of online storage device firmware upgrades by suspending input/output (I/O) operations to the storage device upon notification of a firmware upgrade to the storage device, maintaining a stripe log that contains data stripes updated by I/O operations issued to the storage device during suspension of the storage device, triggering the firmware upgrade to the storage device while the storage device is in suspension, reactivating the disk and new firmware upon completion of the firmware upgrade, and reconstructing the updated data stripes from the stripe log on the storage device after the reactivating step.

A pump between the reservoir of salt water and the interior of the vapor tube generates a pressure differential that forces water vapor from the surface of salt water to the inside of the vapor tube. Condensate inside the vapor tube flows as fresh water to outside the vapor tube.

A method and system for managing cache levels based on battery backup level are described. In one embodiment, the method comprises measuring the level of charge stored in an exhaustible power source. The method further comprises monitoring the level of charge stored in the exhaustible power source. The method further comprises adjusting the storage level of the cache in response to a detected change in the level of charge. In this way, the method ensures that adequate battery power is available to transfer the contents of the cache to a non-volatile data storage medium.

A method and apparatus for desalinizing salt water which includes pumping refrigerant vapor from a first reservoir to a second reservoir wherein pressure is maintained to condense refrigerant vapor pumped into said second reservoir to condense. Salt water admitted into a third reservoir in thermal contact with the second reservoir such that seawater in said third reservoir is evaporated and passes through a vapor trap into a fourth reservoir. The fourth reservoir is in thermal contact with the first reservoir such that heat generated by water vapor condensing in the fourth reservoir is absorbed by liquid refrigerant in the first reservoir such as to aid in evaporation of refrigerant to complete the refrigerant cycle.

Desalinization method and apparatus

A refrigerating system having multiple stages wherein each stage has a boiler for holding a solution of a first constituent being a gas dissolved in a second constituent being a liquid. The boiler communicates with a separator where the gas is separated from the liquid by the heat from the boiler and the gas is then passed to a condenser where it condenses to a liquid. The liquid first constituent passes to an evaporator. In one of the stages, the evaporating first constituent cools the region to be refrigerated in thermal contact with the evaporated of the respective stage. The gaseous first constituent then passes to an absorber where it dissolves in the second liquid constituent that has passed from the separator to the absorber. The solution of first and second constituents now passes to the boiler where the cycle is repeated.

Multi stage thermoelectric power generation

A thermoelectric generator system including a refrigerator of the of the absorption type having no moving parts and operating with ammonia, water and hydrogen to extract heat from a heat source and discharge heat from an absorber and having at least one thermocouple positioned to intercept heat flow from the heat source to the boiler and/or from the condenser to the evaporator. The system is arranged such that a boiler from one system absorbs heat discharged from the absorber of one or more other identical systems so that systems can be ganged together to produce a combine system having increased efficiency.
