A new cultivar ofplant named 'Moon Canyon' that is characterized by its open and semi-upright plant habit, striking variegated green-centered and yellow-margined foliage in spring and cream-yellow margins from late spring and early summer, and white flowers whose orange anthers present as small orange eyes. Plants of ‘Moon Canyon’ are in continual bloom from late spring until fall, with peak blooming occurring in late spring and early summer. In combination, these traits set ‘Moon Canyon’ apart from all other varieties ofknown to the inventor.

This disclosure relates to systems and methods for measuring wave fields of a body of water. A system can include a radiation source and an antenna that can cooperate with the radiation source to transmit a radio frequency (RF) signal to a wave field having one or more waves. The antenna can receive backscattered signals from the wave field. The system can include a local oscillator and a processor. The local oscillator downconverts the backscattered signals into baseband signals and the processor can process the baseband signals to determine a relative velocity of each of the waves of the wave field. The processor can further be programmed to identify an observed portion of the backscattered signals as bad data and remove the bad data from further processing.

Systems and methods for measuring wave fields of a body of water

An orbital shaker apparatus is provided, including a first shaft connected to a first bearing assembly at a first end and a mounting portion at the other. The first shaft is rotatable about a first shaft axis, and is connected to a motor. The second shaft has a bearing assembly on the mounting portion at one end and a platform at the other, and is aligned parallel to and offset from the first shaft by a distance. A counterweight rotor assembly is coupled to the mounting portion, and rotated by a belt driven by a pulley connected to the rotating shaft of a counterweight motor. The counterweight assembly includes two counterweight bearings, each having a counterweight wedge. The platform also includes supports for objects to be secured thereto. In use, as the counterweight rotor rotates, the second shaft, second bearing assembly, and platform describes a circular orbit with diameter 2R.

A fluid stream pulse damper having a fluid conduit defining a fluid path and a fluid flow direction. The conduit has an inlet end and an outlet end. A damper body in the conduit intersects the fluid path. An energy absorber attached to the damper body operates in resistance to fluid flowing in the conduit.

The border blocks of the invention include a plurality of hollow plastic blocks fillable through push-cap openable holes at their top with sand and employing various tongue-and-groove interlocks extending from the left and right sides thereof to join with similar adjacent blocks--whether linear or curved--and with the individual blocks also being provided with apertures at their bottom to mate with projections as part of the push-cap openable holes so as to stack one atop the other in forming several courses of block and in which the blocks forming the bottom course incorporate a tie-down arrangement for securement to the ground.

An optical tool is disclosed which permits a sequence of aligned transducer gaps to be positioned parallel to the axis of a disk file. The tool is surfaced with transparent material, has a thickness the same as the disk or disks of a disk stack being simulated and presents an etched alignment grid at the interface surface between transducer and tool. The virtually common plane of the transducer gap and etched grid substantially eliminates parallax and the unfilled etched grid permits the gap to be seen, whether aligned with the transparent unetched surface or the translucent etched surface portion. The use of inclined mirrored surfaces underlying the grid permits alignment to be effected using a bright field microscope and observing from a direction rotated 90 degrees from a line perpendicular to the grid to enable alignment of transducer gaps confronting one another at opposite sides of the disk.
