A self-contained multi-station registration system for registering users at a point of registration is disclosed. The registration system provides a registration web page to registration stations at the point of registration. The registration system further receives registration information from the registration stations, wherein the registration information is associated with the users. The registration system then prints the registration information at the point of registration and saves the registration information for later use. Also, the registration system requires no access to public or corporate networks.

A method for determining a road slope in an electric vehicle including determining the energy consumed or generated by a propulsion motor of the electric vehicle, determining the speed of the electric vehicle, and computing the road slope using samples of energy and speed of the electric vehicle. The method further including determining an optimal speed at which the vehicle should be driven for achieving maximum utility of energy.

A flux spray head, a mask, and an integrated circuit substrate are arranged in a flux spray station to reduce flux overspray during a spraying operation. A support element within the spray station is used to align the substrate with the mask and spray head. A portion of the mask contacts the substrate along a boundary between a region to be sprayed and a region to be masked. The flux spray head sprays the substrate while a portion of the mask is in contact with the boundary of the region to be masked. In an embodiment, the mask may comprise one or more replaceable non-stick stencil elements and associated springs to press the stencil elements against the substrate. Each stencil element may have a wall to contact the substrate along a portion of the boundary.

Compliant spray flux masks, systems, and methods

Some embodiments include an apparatus comprising a spray head to spray a substrate, the substrate having a region to be sprayed and a region to be masked, the two regions separated by a boundary, and a mask having channels, the mask located between the spray head and the substrate. In an embodiment, the mask further has a lip to prevent flux overspray from falling onto a substrate below. In an embodiment, flux overspray removal is assisted with a vacuum system. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A cache apparatus and method for improving the connection capacity of an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) switch. The cache updates the ATM switch with information for configuring connections while maintaining a separate connection table. Incoming data cells are examined by a cell router and routed either directly to the switch, if a connection is already configured, or to a cell holding area while the connection is being set up in the switch. Unused or underused connections are detected in the connection table by a reclaim ager and marked underused. An updater then reviews the connection table to use the connection resources represented by the underused connections for configuring connections for the data cell stored in the cell holding area.
