A system and method for evaluating blood flow in a vessel of a patient includes a catheter containing a first pressure sensor and a second pressure sensor and configured to simultaneously measure pressure data within a vessel on either side of a stenosis. Pressure data generated by the catheter includes a first series of pressure measurements from the first pressure sensor a second series of pressure measurements from the second pressure sensor. The system and method further includes a fractional flow reserve (FFR) calculation module executable on one or more processors and configured to calculate a stability index for each of two or more portions of the pressure data, wherein each stability index indicates at least one of heart rate stability and catheter stability for the respective portion of the pressure data. An optimal time window is identified based on the stability indexes for calculation of FFR based on the pressure data. A FFR value is then calculated based on the pressure data in the optimal time window.

System and method for evaluating blood flow in a vessel

Methods and systems are provided for automatically diagnosing a patient based on a reduced lead electrocardiogram (ECG), using one or more deep neural networks. In one embodiment, a method for automatically diagnosing a patient using a reduced lead ECG comprises, acquiring reduced lead ECG data, wherein the reduced lead ECG data comprises less than twelve lead signals, determining a type of each of the less than twelve lead signals, selecting a deep neural network based on the type of each of the less than twelve lead signals, and mapping the less than twelve lead signals to a diagnosis using the deep neural network. In this way, reduced lead ECG data may be mapped to a diagnosis using an intelligently selected deep neural network, wherein the deep neural network was trained on reduced lead ECG data comprising a same set of ECG lead types as the acquired reduced lead ECG data.

A system for evaluating blood flow in a vessel of a patient includes a catheter containing a first pressure sensor and a second pressure sensor and configured to simultaneously measure pressure data within a vessel on either side of a stenosis. Pressure data generated by the catheter includes a first series of pressure measurements from the first pressure sensor a second series of pressure measurements from the second pressure sensor. The system further includes an FFR calculation module executable on one or more processors and configured to calculate a stability index for each of two or more portions of the pressure data, wherein each stability index indicates at least one of heart rate stability and catheter stability for the respective portion of the pressure data. An optimal time window is identified based on the stability indexes for calculation of fractional flow reserve (FFR) based on the pressure data. An FFR value is then calculated based on the pressure data in the optimal time window.

A system for modeling electrical activity of an anatomical structure. The system includes a database that is configured to store cell set data corresponding to a group of cells of the anatomical structure. The cell set data includes a cell model that represents electrical activity of the group of cells. The cell model has a model parameter that relates to ion channels in the cells. The electrical activity represented by the cell model is at least partially based upon the model parameter. The system also includes a user interface that is configured to accept user inputs to change the model parameter and thereby change the electrical activity represented by the cell model to form a reconfigured cell model. The system also includes a display that is configured to display the user inputs and a processor that is configured to determine the electrical activity of the anatomical structure using the reconfigured cell model.

Systems and methods for modeling electrical activity of an anatomical structure

A method is provided for determining cellular electrical potentials using a state estimator. The state estimator is generated using at least an electrical source model and an electrical conduction model. One or more parameters or states of the state estimator are adjusted based on a measured electrocardiographic and/or a measured body-surface-potential signal. The electrical potential of one or more cells is determined based on the one or more adjusted parameters or states. In one aspect of the present technique, one or more representations of an organ comprising the one or more cells is generated such that the electrical potential or its deriving characteristic of the one or more cells is visually indicated.

A method and apparatus for analyzing characteristics of ECG signal data having a succession of waveforms produced by the beating of the heart. ECG signal data is obtained from a patient. A depolarization feature and a second feature of the waveforms of the ECG signal data are determined. Waveforms of the ECG signal data having a stable heart rate are selected for use in determining the second feature. Waveforms selected are those having minimum depolarization feature standard deviation and minimum depolarization feature dispersion. The depolarization feature and second feature for the heart beats of the selected waveforms are displayed.

Method, computer readable medium, and system for analyzing ECG morphology and time series

A method and apparatus for processing electrocardiographic signals of a patient. The apparatus comprises ten or fewer electrodes connected to a patient at least one of the standard twelve lead ECG electrode positions. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of ECG interpretation algorithms, each of the algorithms specifically tailored for analyzing a twelve lead ECG comprising both measured and derived ECG leads. The method of the present invention comprises determining whether an ECG lead is measured or derived and selecting an ECG interpretation algorithm based upon this determination.

Method and apparatus with reduced electrode system specific ECG interpretation

In a multi-tier patient monitoring data analysis system, an algorithm server is positioned as a middle tier between an acquisition device, such as a cardiograph or patient monitor that can be seen as a lower tier, and a storage device for a database, such as that of a central computer for a hospital or clinic that can be seen as an upper tier. The algorithm server gathers current data from the real time acquisition device and obtains previously stored ECG signal data from the database. The algorithm server contains ECG analysis algorithm(s) and runs one or more algorithms using the current and previously acquired ECG signal data. Analysis algorithms may also be run on the acquisition device. The system provides the rapid, extensive, and thorough ECG analysis that is critical to patient welfare.

Multi-tier system for cardiology and patient monitoring data analysis

A system and method of presenting physiological data in a component ring. The method includes receiving a plurality of leads of physiological data. Morphology features are extracted from the plurality of leads. The morphology features are graphed by presenting a component ring associated with each of the morphology features. Method of presenting electrocardiographic data

Method and apparatus for determining alternans data of an ECG signal. The method can include determining at least one value representing at least one morphology feature of each beat of the ECG signal and generating a set of data points based on a total quantity of values and a total quantity of beats. The method can also include separating the data points into a first group of points and a second group of points and generating a feature map by plotting the first group of points and the second group of points in order to assess an alternans pattern of variation. The feature map can be analyzed by statistical tests to determine the significance difference between groups and clusters.
