An apparatus is provided for simulation of an asset to train a user to use the asset. The apparatus includes persistent storage to store raw binary data transformable into messages associated with simulation of the asset, and a random access memory (RAM) to store a protocol name, sender identifier and message type of the messages in respective hash tables. These hash tables further include a fourth hash table that maps times of the messages to the raw binary data in the persistent storage. In response to a request for playback of messages from a selected time, the apparatus locates the raw binary data for a message chronologically last in time before the selected time using the four nested hash tables in the RAM, retrieves the raw binary data for the message from its location in the persistent storage medium, and transforms the raw binary data into the message for presentation.

Methods and apparatuses for use in applying an update to a communication protocol in a software application that is executed by a computing device are described herein. The computing device receives a protocol definition corresponding to a communication protocol and indicating positions of data elements within data objects corresponding to the communication protocol. When the computing device determines that the received protocol definition differs from a previous protocol definition corresponding to the communication protocol, the computing device creates a machine-executable object parser based on the received protocol definition. The machine-executable object parser is accessible to a software application executed by the computing device. The software application receives a data object corresponding to the communication protocol, and the computing device executes the machine-executable object parser to parse at least a portion of the data elements in the data object received by the software application.

Methods and systems for parsing data objects

An automated system for translating datalink information and producing a computer code based on the translated datalink information. The computer code may subsequently be used to establish datalink communications between pieces of equipment having different communication protocols. The automated production of computer code reduces time and errors during software development for applications used in communicating between different datalinks.

The present disclosure is directed to a training system comprising at least one real asset having real asset data, a transceiver coupled to the real asset, at least one simulator adapted to simulate an asset; and a bridge coupled between the at least one simulator and the transceiver, whereby training can be carried out using both the at least one real asset and the simulated asset in concert. The bridge uses a piecewise polynomial interpolation algorithm to transform the real asset data into the proper format for use in the simulated environment. The present disclosure is also directed to the real asset-to-simulated environment bridge itself and a method of providing a bridge between at least one real asset and a simulated environment.

A digital message analysis tool for incorporating a digital message standard into a relational database. The tool includes a message standard automation module (MSAM), a message implementation module (MIM) in communication with the MSAM, and, a platform interoperability module (PIM), in communication with the MSAM. The MSAM includes a digital message standard. The MSAM automates the digital message standard into a relational database and provides a first graphic user interface (GUI) that allows a user to view the desired contents of the digital message standard and requirement interdependencies associated within the digital message standard. The MIM includes a second GUI. The MIM develops and provides a message implementation in accordance with the digital message standard. It utilizes the message implementation for providing a message implementation report. The PIM includes a third GUI. The PIM enters a platform digital message implementation for the digital message standard and conducts an interoperability analysis between multiple platform digital message implementations using the third GUI. The PIM also provides a digital message interoperability evaluation report of the evaluation. The MSAM, the MIM, and the PIM cooperate to provide an efficient access to the digital message standard, efficient development of a platform message implementation, and efficient evaluation of interoperability between multiple platforms/programs.
