A method of electrophoretic deposition of adsorbent media onto an electrically conducting substrate. The adsorbent media may include one or more porous coordination polymers and/or one or more secondary adsorbing particles. The adsorbent media may be continuously applied from a liquid composition at a selected thickness and at a controlled rate and as a function of voltage profiles.

Each component of the composition has a particle size of not more than about 1,000 angstroms. The composition is substantially free of water and capable of releasing chlorine dioxide upon hydrolysis of the acid releasing polymer.

A powder for sustained release of a gas including a hydrophilic core, a hydrophobic layer on an outer surface of the hydrophilic core, and particles in contact with the hydrophobic layer. The hydrophobic layer contains an acid releasing agent. The particles contain an anhydrous material capable of binding with water. The core, the particles, and the hydrophobic layer are substantially free of water, and the core is capable of generating and releasing a gas after hydrolysis of the acid releasing agent.

A biocidal powder for sustained release of chlorine dioxide includes particles containing chlorite anions, and a hydrophobic core having the particles on a surface thereof, the hydrophobic core containing an acid releasing agent. The particles and the hydrophobic core are substantially free of water, and the particles are capable of releasing chlorine dioxide upon hydrolysis of the acid releasing agent.

The present invention provides novel thermoset copolymers, and methods for preparing same, having both the strength and the thermo-oxidative stability required for high performance, high temperature applications. The copolymers comprise (a) a thermoplastic resin having unreacted phenolic OH groups, and (b) bis-oxazoline monomers which have been modified to have at least one substituent on the oxazoline ring selected from the group consisting of a methyl group, a group having at least a substituent capable of undergoing addition polymerization, and a cyclic group capable of undergoing ring opening polymerization.

High strength thermoset copolymers incorporating modified bisoxazoline

A process for preparing a composite which provides sustained release of chlorine dioxide which includes mixing a hydrophilic material containing an amine and a base with a hydrophobic material containing an acid releasing agent, the hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials being adjacent and substantially free of water, to form a mixture. The mixture is exposed to chlorine dioxide which reacts with the amine to form iminium chlorite which is decomposed by the base to form a chlorite salt within the hydrophilic material. The hydrophilic material is capable of releasing chlorine dioxide upon hydrolysis of the acid releasing agent.
