2,3-Diaryl-7,7-bis(fluorinated alkyl)imidazo[1,5-a]imidazoles, such as 2,3-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-5-methyl-7,7-bis(trifluoromethyl)imidazo[1,5-a]imi dazole, are useful in the treatment of inflammation and/or pain.

4,5-Diaryl-.alpha.-polyfluoroalkyl-1H-imidazole-2-methanamines are useful in the treatment of hypertension.

Antiinflammatory 4,5-diaryl-1H-imidazole-2-methanols, such as 4,5-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-.alpha.,.alpha.-di(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole-2 -methanol are useful in treatment of arthritis.

Antiinflammatory 4,5-diaryl-1H-imidazole-2-methanols

Antiinflammatory 4,5-diaryl-.alpha.-polyfluoroalkyl-1H-imidazole-2-methanamines such as 4,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-.alpha.,.alpha.-di(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole- 2-methanamine, are useful in treatment of arthritis.

Antiinflammatory

Certain N-(pyridothienopyrazol)amides such as 2,2-diethyl-N-[1-methyl-1H-pyrazolo(3',4':4,5)thieno-(2,3-b)pyridin-3-yl]b utanamide are useful for the prophylaxis and therapy of diseases caused by rhinoviruses.
