A shear connector for use with insulated concrete panels. The shear connector comprises an elongated core member that includes a first end and a second end, and a flanged end-piece removably secured to one of the first end or the second end of the core member. At least a portion of the flanged end-piece includes a maximum diameter that is larger than a maximum diameter of the core member. The shear connector is configured to transfer shear forces.

System for insulated concrete composite wall panels

An insulated concrete panel comprising an insulation layer having one or more openings extending therethrough, a first concrete layer adjacent to a first surface of the insulation layer, a second concrete layer adjacent to a second surface of the insulation layer, and a wall tie received within one or more of the openings. The wall tie includes a central section received within the one or more openings of the insulation layer, a first concrete engaging at least partially embedded within the first concrete layer, and a second concrete engaging section embedded within the second concrete layer. The second concrete engaging section has a maximum width that is larger than a maximum width of the central section. The central section of the wall tie is configured to transfer shear forces and resist delamination forces between the first and second concrete layers.

Tie system for insulated concrete panels

A tie system for an insulated concrete panel. The tie system includes a first structural member formed with a first hub and a pair of first extension members coupled to the first hub. The first extension members extend outwardly from the first hub in generally opposite directions. The tie system further includes a second structural member formed with a second hub and a pair of second extension members coupled to the second hub. The second extension members extend outwardly from the second hub in generally opposite directions. As such, the first and second hubs may be rotatably coupled to one another in a manner that permits rotation of the hubs relative to one another. Thus, the tie system is shiftable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration by rotating the first and second structural members relative to one another.

A wall system employing channel-reinforced lightweight precast concrete wall panels. The precast wall panels include a concrete slab, a pair of spaced-apart elongated generally parallel metallic side channels, and a plurality of spaced-apart elongated generally parallel metallic attachment channels. The side channels and attachment channels are partially embedded in the slab and extend substantially perpendicular to one another. Each wall panel can be coupled to a support wall by extending self-tapping screws through metallic wall framing members and the attachment channels at locations where the framing members and attachment channels cross.

Channel-reinforced concrete wall panel system

Wall system employing lightweight precast concrete wall panels. The precast wall panels include a concrete slab and a plurality of spaced-apart elongated generally parallel bent sheet metal channels that are partially embedded in the slab. Each wall panel can be coupled to a support wall by extending self-tapping screws through metallic wall framing members and the channels at locations where the framing members and channels cross.
