An asymmetric multilayer film for an ostomy pouch includes a barrier layer including a first side and a second side. At least one layer is arranged on the first side of the barrier layer, and at least one layer arranged on the second side of the barrier layer, in which the combined thickness of the at least one layer arranged on the first side of the barrier layer is at least two times greater than the combined thickness of the at least one layer arranged on the second side of the barrier layer. The asymmetric multilayer film has a thickness of about 25 μm to about 50 μm.

A flushable catheter having an outer wall defining an inner conduit and an inner core member positioned within the inner conduit. The inner core being made from flushable materials, which are preferably degradable water soluble materials such that the inner core degrades as urine or water pass through the inner conduit defined by the outer wall.

A catheter assembly includes at least one self-lubricated part formed from a mixture including a polymer and lubricant. The polymer has a functional group that can react with the functional group of the lubricant. The suitably functionalized lubricant provides for a low coefficient of friction surface for easier and less traumatic insertion and withdrawal of the catheter into and from body cavities.

An ostomy appliance includes at least one nonwoven layer adhesively attached to at least one of the pouch walls with a sound absorbing adhesive therebetween. The sound absorbing adhesive comprises a vinyl-bond rich triblock copolymer. The ostomy appliance has improved sound absorbing properties to insulate flatus gas noise.
