A panel assembly for an overhead support structure of a vehicle. The panel assembly includes a panel movable relative to the overhead support structure between a stowed position and an open position. One or more actuators release the panel from the stowed position. The actuators include first and second bodies arranged together and configured to move relative to each other and with the first body movable relative to the overhead support structure between first and second positions. The first position orients the second body at a first angular position relative to the overhead support structure that engages a catch on the second body with a latch pin. The second position orients the second body at a different second angular position relative to the overhead support structure to release the catch from the latch pin and thereby release the panel from the stowed position.

Panel assembly for a vehicle

A connector to support wiring and space the wiring away from a housing. The connector includes a saddle that receives the wiring. A clip is attached to the saddle and attaches to the housing. The saddle and the clip are sized to secure the wiring to the housing. The size of the saddle and the clip spaces the wiring away from the housing to prevent the wiring from contacting the housing and potentially being damaged.

The lower bulkhead panel connects to the upper bulkhead panel and to the floor via the bulkhead coupling member. A method for installing the bulkhead assembly in the passenger cabin includes connecting the lower bulkhead panel to the floor, joining the lower bulkhead panel to the base of the upper bulkhead panel using a bulkhead coupling member, inserting the terminal end through the slot opening, and connecting the terminal end to the secondary support member behind the overhead closeout panel.

A stowage bin lighting assembly for mounting to an internal cabin of a vehicle includes a chassis having a plate extending longitudinally between ends. The chassis supports light mount pedestals, wire standoffs, and at least one valance support above the upper surface. The stowage bin lighting assembly includes a light mounted to the light mount pedestals positioned above the plate by the light mount pedestals for providing lighting from the stowage bin assembly to the internal cabin of the vehicle. The stowage bin lighting assembly includes a wire electrically connected to the light to supply power to the light and coupled to at least one of the wire standoffs to control a position of the wire relative to the plate. The stowage bin lighting assembly includes a valance coupled to the valance mount pedestals configured to be coupled to the stowage bin assembly by the valance support.

Stowage bin lighting assembly and method for lighting a stowage bin assembly of a vehicle

An assembly configured to be mounted within an interior of a vehicle. The assembly includes a monument wall configured to be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. A panel is configured to attach to a support structure above the monument wall with the panel having a first edge and a second edge. A latch configured to be mounted to the panel between the first edge and the second edge. A pull member is attached to the panel and comprises an elongated member attached to the latch and a handle. A translating hinge is configured to be mounted to the second edge of the panel to provide for translating and pivoting movement of the panel within an access area between the monument wall and the support structure to connect and disconnect the panel from the support structure.

Panel attachment in a vehicle configured for low profile removal and reattachment

An assembly for an interior of a vehicle with the assembly having a monument wall configured to mount to the interior of the vehicle. A panel is configured to mount to an overhead support structure adjacent to the monument wall. The panel includes a front side configured to face into the interior of the vehicle and an opposing back side. One or more latch assemblies are configured to connect the panel to the overhead support structure adjacent to the monument wall. The latch assemblies include a latch mounted to the back side of the panel, a track with one or more rails, a follower with an arm and a head with the head sized to engage with the track, and a pull mechanism to unlock the latch.

An aircraft panel system including a first panel, having a hinged coupling configured to couple the first panel to an aircraft structure, a second panel disposed adjacent to the first panel such that the first panel and the second panel together form cabin surface of an aircraft, and a latch mechanism configured to releasably couple the second panel to the aircraft structure, where the first panel is configured to pivot about the hinged coupling from a latched position to an actuation position to actuate the latch mechanism and cause a release of the second panel from the latch mechanism.

An assembly to connect a panel to a support member. The assembly may include a saddle fitting configured to connect to the support member and including first and second plates. A back fitting may be positioned between the second plate of the saddle fitting and a second face of the panel. An index fitting includes a flange that may be positioned between the first plate of the saddle fitting and a first face of the panel, and a boss that extends outward from the flange and through the opening in the panel. The index fitting is wider than the panel and sized to fit within the gap of the saddle fitting with a first end of the index fitting contacting against the first plate and a second end of the index fitting contacting against the second plate. One or more fasteners may connect the saddle fitting to the index fitting.

Assembly to connect a panel to a support member

An oxygen box is secured in an oxygen box hole through a panel of an aircraft cabin by fasteners that are positioned in an interior volume of the oxygen box and are inserted through holes in a back wall of the oxygen box that are aligned with fastener openings in an exterior bracket positioned behind the panel and behind the oxygen box opening where the fasteners are received by the fastener openings in the exterior bracket and the fasteners removably attach the oxygen box to the exterior bracket.
