The present disclosure provides techniques for hybrid pagination for retrieving data. One example method includes receiving, at a server, a first application programming interface (API) request indicating a first offset and a first limit, retrieving, by the server, a given page comprising a list of items based on the first offset and the first limit in response to the first API request, creating, by the server, an entry in a cache based on the first API request, wherein the entry comprises cursor information indicating a last item in the list of items in the given page, receiving, by the server, a second API request indicating a second offset and a second limit for a subsequent page of the given page, generating, by the server, a cache key based on the second API request, retrieving, by the server, the entry from the cache based on the generated cache key, and retrieving, by the server, based on the last item in the list of items in the given page indicated in the entry and the second limit, the subsequent page in response to the second API request.

Hybrid pagination for retrieving data

Various systems, methods, and programs embodied in computer readable mediums are provided that facilitate the automated merger of print workflow information into job tickets that express the characteristics of a document to be printed. In various embodiments, a job ticket that describes a number of characteristics of a finished document to be printed is automatically modified in a processor-based system. The modifications are performed by merging at least a portion of a print workflow with the job ticket where the print workflow specifies a process to print the finished document.

Automated workflow assignment to print jobs

A method for managing just-in-time print consumables for a print job can be performed on a computer server. The method includes estimating print consumable requirements for the print job. The method also includes ordering, over a network connection, the estimated print consumable requirements from a print consumable supplier such that the estimated print consumable requirements are received substantially close to a time that the print job is to be performed.

Method and system for print consumables management

A cache memory system and method for printers is described. In one exemplary implementation, a system includes a printer, memory, an input buffer and a control system. The memory contains one or more prior print job elements referenced by one or more previous print job tickets that were previously processed by the printer. The input buffer receives a new print job ticket referencing one or more new print job elements. The control system searches memory for any prior print job elements matching the one or more new print job elements referenced by the new print job ticket. The control system downloads one or more new print job elements not matching any of the one or more prior print job elements from a remote site. This permits the printer to retrieve the one or more prior print job elements that match the one or more new print job elements from memory instead of having to retrieve them from the remote site.

Cache memory system and method for printers

Various systems and methods are provided for avoiding printing defects when printing documents. In one embodiment, a method is provided that identifies a printing defect on a hardcopy document, the printing defect being created by a printer, identifies a non-printed digital document affected by the printing defect, and, prevents a printing of the non-printed digital document affected by the printing defect.

Avoiding printing defects

An apparatus for importing and exporting computer based configuration data to and from text based files in which part of the data is encrypted for confidentiality. The apparatus allows the resulting text file to be selectively edited prior to an import, providing for flexibility on behalf of system administrators without compromising the security of encrypted data.
