A system for separating a mineral from a clay using a gas injection module includes a solution tank configured to receive a supersaturated solution including at least one mineral. The system also includes a gas injection module in fluid communication with the solution tank and configured to receive at least a portion of the supersaturated solution. The system includes at least one gas injection port in fluid communication with a source of gas and the gas injection module. The gas injection port is configured to inject a gas to the supersaturated solution. During operation of the system, the gas causes at least a portion of the supersaturated solution to crystallize.

Separation of minerals by gas injection

A centrifuge for separating minerals by specific gravity is disclosed. The centrifuge rotates to circulate slurry across a collection region and to subject slurry in the collection region to centripetal forces that facilitate stratification within the collection region by the specific gravity of the constituent minerals of the slurry. Energy, such as acoustic energy, is coupled with the collection region and enhances the stratification by specific gravity within the collection region.

A piston of the MR device is centered about its throw range and the piston is actuated at angles not parallel to the movement of the payload to provide low-profile operation.

Method and apparatus for an adaptive suspension support system

A method and apparatus for an adaptive, multi-axis suspension support system providing both coarse and fine suspension to a payload. Coarse suspension control is provided to maintain the payload within a coarse range of position. Fine suspension control is provided by monitoring and analyzing vibration characteristics in both time and frequency domains to determine the required amount of damper resistance to be exerted by a magnetorheological (MR) device.

A method and apparatus for a low-profile suspension system, which provides coarse and fine suspension control to an object supported by the low-profile suspension system. Coarse suspension is provided to adaptively control a position of the object through pneumatic support devices. Pneumatic pressure is adaptively increased in the pneumatic support devices to support an increasing weight of the object, while pneumatic pressure is adaptively decreased in the pneumatic support devices to support a decreasing weight of the object. Fine suspension control is provided through rotational actuation of a shock absorbing device through a right-angle gear drive. By rotationally actuating the shock absorbing device, a range of stroke of the shock absorbing device along a vertical direction is minimized. Position equalization control is further provided to maintain a position of the object along an axis that is orthogonal to the coarse and fine suspension axis.

A method and apparatus for an electronic equipment rack that provides mobility through directional self-propulsion and multi-axis suspension. The electronic equipment rack further provides self-powered operation and environmental control with wireless access, while protecting against unauthorized access, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and dust contamination. An alternate embodiment provides a non-mobile electronic equipment rack with multi-axis suspension, while optionally providing wireless access and protection against unauthorized access and the environment.
