Linerless labels are presented. A label includes a specific pattern or set of patterns of adhesive applied to one side of the label. The adhesive pattern(s) reduces contact between a cutter blade of a printer and the adhesive on the one side of the label. Moreover, the adhesive patterns reduce buildup of adhesive on the cutter blade and reduce buildup at specific locations on the cutter blade. That is, the adhesive patterns more evenly distribute adhesive buildup across the cutter blade. Consequently, the cutter blade can be used for a longer period of time before the cutter blade needs to be cleaned of the adhesive.

Linerless labels

A label adapted for direct thermal printing on both sides thereof and having a sealable pouch is described. In one embodiment, the label comprises two substrates, each substrate being coated on an outer face with a thermally sensitive coating. The inner faces of the substrates are respectively coated with an adhesive and a release material. A configuration of die cuts and perforations on the two substrates is provided to allow the label to adhere to a surface such as a package and to form a sealable pouch with respect to said surface.

A two-sided sheet contains a plurality of different travel-related items. The two-sided sheet includes a first travel-related item in the form of a baggage tag having a front major surface facing a first direction and on which baggage tag information is printed. The two-sided sheet also includes a second travel-related item which is other than a baggage tag and which second travel-related item has a front major surface facing a second direction which is opposite the first direction and on which other information is printed. The two-sided sheet further includes adhesive disposed between the first and second travel-related items to provide a single sheet in which the second travel-related item can be peeled away and separated from the baggage tag.
