A method of combining a first image of a first region and a second image of a second region, having an overlapping region therebetween. The method including determining a superposed image as a weighted superposition of the first image and the second image in the overlap region, transforming the first image and the second image on the basis of a comparison of at least one of the first image and the second image with the determined superposed image; determining a further superposed image from the transformed first image and the transformed second image; and generating an overall image from the further superposed image when at least one convergence criterion is satisfied.

Method for combining images and magnetic resonance scanner

In a method for planning an examination of an examination subject in a magnetic resonance system, the planning of the examination ensues based on a composite overview image that is composed of at least two individual images. A first part of the overview image is acquired and the first part of the overview image is made available to operating personnel of the magnetic resonance system for planning further measurements. A second part of the overview image is acquired and the first part and the second part of the overview image are combined. The combined image of the first part and second part of the overview image is made available for planning further measurements. The first part of the overview image is made available to operating personnel no later than before making the overview image available.

Method for planning an examination in a magnetic resonance system

In a method and device for planning an examination of an examination subject in an imaging diagnosis device, a reference image is selected, and an image of the examination subject is to be made that corresponds to the reference image. A workflow protocol is determined with which the reference image was generated. The acquisition of all required images of the examination subject is planned using this workflow protocol. The workflow protocol is executed for creation of an image of the examination subject that corresponds to the reference image.
