Camshaft adjuster

A hydraulic camshaft adjuster has a stator, a rotor arranged movably with respect to the stator, and a central valve via which oil supply of working chambers of the hydraulic camshaft adjuster is controlled. A deformable sealing sleeve is arranged between the central valve and the rotor. The sealing sleeve has an initial length in an axial direction, and after assembly, has a deformation such that the length of the sealing sleeve changes from the initial length to an assembled length. The sealing sleeve bears at least partially in the radial direction against the central valve and against the rotor.

Hydraulic camshaft adjuster

A hydraulic camshaft adjuster adjusts the control time of gas exchange of an internal combustion engine. A reservoir for storing pressure medium is formed on a cover of the hydraulic camshaft adjuster. An overflow opening of the cover is dimensioned such that a volume of pressure medium remains in the reservoir when the hydraulic camshaft adjuster is stationary. This ensures that pressure medium is supplied to the return valve of a central locking mechanism when the engine is running.

Hydraulic camshaft adjuster, and method for operating the hydraulic camshaft adjuster

This disclosure relates to a camshaft adjusting system for a motor vehicle, having an inner camshaft, and an outer camshaft, which is arranged coaxially with and radially outside the inner camshaft. The camshaft adjusting system further includes an input wheel, which is designed to introduce torque into the camshafts, a hydraulic camshaft adjuster, which acts on the outer camshaft to adjust the phase angle of the outer camshaft relative to the input wheel, and an electric camshaft adjuster, which acts on the inner camshaft to adjust the phase angle of the inner camshaft relative to the input wheel. The electric camshaft adjuster engages in the hydraulic camshaft adjuster at least partially in an axial direction.

The disclosure relates to a hydraulic camshaft adjuster having a stator, which is synchronously rotatable with a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine, a rotor rotatably arranged relative to the stator and synchronously rotatable with a camshaft, two groups of working chambers that can each be loaded with a pressure medium in a pressure medium circuit, and a central locking device for locking the rotor in a defined position relative to the stator. The stator is delimited on a first front end by a multi-part locking cover. The multi-part locking cover has a first locking cover and a second locking cover. A first stage of a mechanical ratchet is formed on the first locking cover, and at least one further stage of the mechanical ratchet is formed on the second locking cover.

A camshaft phaser arrangement configured for a concentric camshaft assembly having inner and outer camshafts is provided. The camshaft phaser arrangement includes a first camshaft phaser, a second camshaft phaser, a coupling, and at least one timing wheel connected to at least one of the first or second camshaft phaser. Each of the camshaft phasers is configured to be connected to either the inner or the outer camshaft. The coupling includes a coupling ring and at least one coupling pin that torsionally connects the first camshaft phaser to the second camshaft phaser. The coupling provides for radial and axial movement between the first camshaft phaser and the second camshaft phaser.

A camshaft phaser for the adjusting valve timing of a combustion engine includes a stator and a rotor that can rotate relative to the stator. The rotor is connected to one end of the camshaft via an adapter as well as via a sprocket which is fixedly mounted to the stator. The sprocket is slideably mounted about the camshaft with a first guiding section and is slideably mounted about the adapter with a second guiding section.

Camshaft phaser

A camshaft adjuster including a stator, a rotor and a pressure medium supply, at least one chamber being formed on the stator, which is divided into two working chambers by at least one vane formed on the rotor or rotatably fixedly connected to the rotor is provided. A pressure medium is applicable to each of the two working chambers via the pressure medium supply in such a way that a pressure of the pressure medium may be increased in each of the working chambers to the extent that the pressure increase results in a rotation of the rotor. A switchable valve is formed in the vane of the rotor, which, in a first switching position of the valve, allows a flow of the pressure medium from a first working chamber through the vane into a second working chamber, in a second switching position the valve hydraulically separating the working chambers from each other. A locking element, which fixes the vane in a defined position with respect to the chamber, is designed to control an inflow or outflow of the pressure medium into or out of a working chamber. The pressure medium supply includes an oil pump, a supply line connecting the oil pump to at least one of the working chambers and a hydraulic accumulator, which differs from the oil pump and the supply line.

A camshaft adjuster for an internal combustion engine, having a stator, a rotor mounted rotatably in the interior of the stator, and a locking cover connected to the stator. A hydraulically actuatable locking element is received in the rotor and engages into the locking cover in at least one blocking position, so as to block a rotation of the rotor relative to the stator, and is arranged in at least one unlocking position so that the rotor can be rotated relative to the stator. A blocking pin acts in at least one hydraulic channel connected hydraulically to the locking element so that the hydraulic channel is connected to a recovery tank or is disconnected from the recovery tank depending on the position of the blocking pin, wherein the hydraulic channel has a first channel section in the locking cover, and the first channel section and the blocking pin are arranged so that the blocking pin seals the hydraulic channel from the recovery tank in at least one first end position, in a first pressure range which prevails in the hydraulic channel by way of contact with the locking cover.

The invention relates to a camshaft adjustment device for an internal combustion engine, having a chamber housing, an actuating rotor which is received in the chamber housing and which can be pivoted about an axis which is concentric with respect to the circumferential axis of the chamber housing, wherein the actuating rotor has a plurality of dividing flanks which rise up radially over a cylindrical base surface of the actuating rotor, and in each case divide pressure chambers which are formed in the chamber housing into a first chamber section and a second chamber section. Sealing strips are inserted into the actuating rotor. The sealing strips form a fluid passage path. The latter can be blocked via a check valve device in such a way that the fluid passage is possible only in one direction.

A camshaft adjuster for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, having a stator and a rotor accommodated inside the stator such that the rotor can rotate relative to said stator, wherein the rotor has at least one rotor vane, which extends in the radial direction towards an inner wall of the stator and forms a first hydraulic chamber and a second hydraulic chamber between the stator and the rotor, wherein a connection gap remains between a rotor vane end face and the inner wall of the stator and fluid-connecting the first hydraulic chamber and the second hydraulic chamber. A sealing element is guided in a radially movable manner in the rotor vane end face to and fro between a sealing position, in which the sealing element bears against the inner wall of the stator to seal off the connection gap, and a connecting position, in which the first and second hydraulic chambers are connected to each other through the connecting gap.
