The present invention relates to compounds of the formula (I), to mixtures of the said compounds with emitter compounds, to the use of compounds of the formula (I) and the said mixtures in electronic devices, and to electronic devices containing one or more compounds of the formula (I) and/or mixtures of compounds of the formula (I) with emitter compounds.

The present invention relates to compounds of the to the use of the compounds in electronic devices, to processes for the preparation of the compounds, and to electronic devices comprising the compounds, preferably as electron-transport materials, as hole-blocking materials, as matrix materials and/or as emitter materials.

The present invention relates to compounds having a spirobifluorene skeleton of the formula (I) for use as functional materials in electronic devices, in particular for use in the charge-transport layer and/or emission layer of organic electroluminescent devices. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the preparation of the compounds according to the invention and to mixtures comprising the compounds according to the invention. The invention furthermore relates to the use of the compounds of the formula (I) in electronic devices and to electronic devices comprising the compounds of the formula (I).

Compounds for electronic devices

The present invention describes novel metal complexes. Compounds of this type can be employed as functional materials in a number of different applications which can be ascribed to the electronics industry in the broadest sense. The compounds according to the invention are described by the formulae (1) and (1a).

Metal complexes

The present invention relates to a process for preparing aryl-aryl-coupled compounds and materials. These materials play an important role in industry, for instance as liquid crystals, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and as organic semiconductors. The aryl-aryl couplings hitherto carried out by means of Yamamoto coupling require specific additives in order to give a product suitable for the subsequent use. Particularly in the electronics industry, the Yamamoto coupling needs to meet particular requirements.
