A trim panel assembly includes a printed foil extending for a first area, a printed circuit board disposed overtop the foil, the printed circuit board extending for a second area smaller than the first area, and a light guide disposed overtop the printed circuit board and having a perimeter. The perimeter is inset from the printed foil, and surrounds the printed circuit board, forming a sealed interface with the printed foil. At least a portion of the perimeter of the light guide is beveled. A reflector is disposed overtop the light guide. In an electronic assembly the reflector, the light guide, the printed circuit board, and the printed foil are disposed at least partially in a cavity of a molded support panel. The molded support panel is substantially planar, and a semi-transparent material is overmolded directly onto and overtop the electronic assembly and the molded support panel.

A trim made of plastics for a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, comprises a first component () made of plastics and a second component () made of plastics. To improve such trim, the first component () is at least partly transparent or semi-transparent. The second component () includes one or more recesses () for a display element and/or for an input element(FIG.).

Trim for a motor vehicle

An exterior trim for a motor vehicle has a body that forms a surface of the exterior trim. The body has an exterior surface and an interior surface, and defines a recess or cut-out. The body has a single undulating wall formed on the interior surface of the body substantially perpendicular to a plane defined by the body, and the single undulating wall at least partially surrounds the recess or cut-out. The exterior trim also includes a human-machine interface (HMI) device disposed at least partially within the recess or cut-out of the body. The HMI device may be used to externally control certain features of the motor vehicle.

A panel, preferably made of plastic, for a vehicle, in particular for a motor vehicle comprises a U-shaped passage for the reception of a seal which has a first sealing lip which contacts a first limb of the U-shaped passage in an uninterrupted manner and comprises a second sealing lip which contacts the second limb of the U-shaped passage. To improve the sealing effect, the second sealing lip contacts the second limb of the U-shaped passage in an uninterrupted manner.

The invention relates to a pillar finisher which is arranged to visually conceal regions of a vehicle body and with its outer exposed surfaces to be involved in forming the external appearance of a vehicle, wherein the pillar finisher in the intended final installed state forms a mount for a functional seal, in particular a window drop seal. To prevent a malposition of the functional seal relative to the pillar finisher from having negative effects with regard to the function of the seal or the quality impression of the mounted assembly, provision is made that a covering lip, functionally separate from the position of the functional seal, is fixedly associated with the pillar finisher on the edge side.
