A system for determining a fault in a subsea blowout preventer (BOP) stack includes a first sensor and a second sensor adapted to measure one or more properties of a subsea operation. The system further includes a first power supply adapted to provide operational power to the first sensor and a second power supply adapted to provide operational power to the second sensor. The system also includes a first power failure indicator and isolator (PFII) associated with the first sensor and the first power supply, the first PFII measuring a first pair of waveforms to identify a first fault and a second PFII associated with the second sensor and the second power supply, the second PFII measuring a second pair of waveforms to identify a second fault.

System and method for power failure indication and isolation

A subsea electronics module (SEM) is disclosed. The SEM includes a first axis and a second axis, the first axis being longer than the second axis. Electronic modules are mounted on at least one movable platform which is aligned to move in a direction of the first axis of the SEM. External electrical outlets are mounted on a body and along the first axis of the SEM. The external electrical outlets provide electronic coupling between the electronic modules and components of a lower marine riser package (LMRP).

Sliding subsea electronics module chassis

A power and communications hub (PCH) for oil and gas operations is disclosed. The PCH includes a port operable to provide electrical power to a device for use in oil and gas operations; a port operable to provide electrical communications for use in oil and gas operations; a multiplexer (MUX) interface for connection to a MUX cable; a PCH connection interface for connection to at least one additional PCH; and a PCH body. The PCH body is operable to be disposed proximate a blowout preventer (BOP) stack, and the PCH body is physically disposed apart from but in electrical communication with at least one control pod on the BOP stack.
