A device for spatially resolving a projected capacitive touch detection. The device includes an electrically insulating substrate with a first and a second type of electrically conductive surfaces, and a through-hole. The first type of electrically conductive surfaces are connected in rows to form transmitting electrodes. The second type of electrically conductive surfaces are connected in columns to form receiving electrodes. The first type of electrically conductive surfaces includes non-deformed first type of electrically conductive surfaces and deformed first type of electrically conductive surface(s). The second type of electrically conductive surfaces includes non-deformed second type of electrically conductive surfaces and deformed second type of electrically conductive surface(s). The first type of electrically conductive surfaces and the second type of electrically conductive surfaces are arranged in an alternating manner. The deformed first and/or second type of electrically conductive surface(s) abut the through-hole.

Arrangement for spatially resolving projected-capacitive touch detection with improved locally deformed electrode structure

An input device is disclosed, including a capacitive force sensor, a capacitive touch sensor, and an evaluation unit, where the capacitive force sensor includes an operating surface and a first conductive electrode, and a second conductive electrode; wherein the evaluation unit is configured to detect an associated characteristic value of a touch on the operating surface during the operation, such as a location surface of action of the touch, by means of the capacitive touch sensor, and wherein the evaluation unit is further configured to detect a measured quantity changing with the operating force by generating a first measuring capacitance between the first and second electrodes and to assign a switching or controlling function to the operation in accordance with the characteristic value detected by the capacitive touch sensor and with the measured quantity detected in the operation-detection step.

Input device with function triggering or control which takes place based on capacitively measured actuation force and adaptation by means of capacitive contact detection

An input device, including a flat panel defining an array of control surfaces, and an array of capacitive sensors and a support. The control surfaces are on a surface of the panel facing towards the operator and the support is on a side of the panel facing away from an operator. Also, each capacitive sensor forms a measuring capacitance assigned to a control surface. Further, each capacitive sensor is formed by a common substantially flat film layer structure. The film layer structure includes a first electrode for forming the measuring capacitance. On the side of the support, a lighting device is provided for each control surface for backlighting the associated control surface and transmitting light through the film layer structure. Also, the input device reduces the passage of light from one capacitive sensor to an adjacent capacitive sensor.

An input device includes a first component with an actuating layer and a first electrode arranged adjacent thereto, a second component with a carrier and a second electrode, and a device which electrically contacts the first and second electrodes. The first and second electrodes face each other with an air gap therebetween. The first electrode, under an influence of an actuating force acting on the actuating surface undergoes, upon an actuation, a displacement so as to move the first electrode closer to the second electrode against an elastic restoring force. A detection and evaluation device applies a measuring capacitance to the first and second electrodes and detects a change in the measuring capacitance dependent on the displacement moving the first and second electrodes closer to each other in order to associate the actuation with a switching or controlling function after detecting a predetermined change in the measuring capacitance.

Input device with a two-part force sensor for actuation inputs and method for the production thereof

A control element comprising a support; a control part which defines at least one operating surface, which is movable or elastically yielding if an operating force F acts upon the operating surface; a layer structure that is disposed between the control part and the support and that is elastically deformed if an operating force F acts on the operating surface. The layer structure has at least one first electrode associated with the support and a second electrode, which is associated with the control part and disposed underneath the operating surface, for the definition of a measuring capacity varying in accordance with the operating force. The layer structure further has an intermediate layer having a recess which is disposed between the first and second electrodes for defining a hollow chamber; and means for venting the hollow chamber. The means for venting is integrated at least partially into the intermediate layer.
