A pulse generator having a gear and an actuating member. The actuating member is made from insulating material. It is movable sideways and is forced against the gear by a compression spring, which also serves as a detent spring. This forces a projection into engagement with a tooth space in the rest position. The pulse generator is especially suited for producing current and voltage pulses for digital tuners.

Pulse generator

A pulse generator having a plunger for actuating several contacts. The plunger is guided in a housing and is slidable in the direction of and rotatable about its longitudinal axis against the action of a spring and is provided with at least one actuating member capable of entering into non-positive engagement with at least one contact both in at least one of its longitudinally adjusted positions and in at least one of its rotated positions. The plunger has a hole which runs parallel to the direction of sliding and contains a second plunger which is slidable and/or rotatable against the action of a spring associated therewith. There is an actuating member on the second plunger.

A pulse generator is disclosed comprising a toothed disk which is rotatable with a rotary shaft and is capable of actuating at least two contact pairs for generating pulses and for sensing the direction of rotation of the rotary shaft via a rocker engaging the teeth of the toothed disk by means of a mating portion, the rocker being deflectable in different directions depending on the direction of rotation of the rotary shaft, the mating portion being movable out of engagement with a tooth space and into engagement with the following tooth space, and at least one contact spring of each contact being capable of being actuated in the range of the maximum deflections and prior to the return movement. The rocker (18) is designed as a separate component part and has a bearing hole (20) for a swivel shaft (17) on which it is pivoted, that the contact springs (11, 12) are disposed beside; below or above the rotary shaft (27) and the rocker (18) essentially in the direction of the connecting line (19) between the axis (15) of the rotary shaft (27) and the swivel shaft (17) of the rocker (18), that the rocker (18) has lateral actuating arms (28) capable of actuating the contact springs (11, 12), and that a detent arrangement (23, 24, 25, 26) is provided which resiliently locks the rocker (18) or the toothed disk (16) in the rest position. A compact design is thus obtained.

A pulse generator with a pin-shaped switching plunger for actuating at least one contact is so designed that many switching positions are possible. It is characterized in that the switching plunger (3), which is guided in a housing, is slidable in the direction of and rotatable about its longitudinal axis (5), and that the switching plunger (3) is provided with at least one actuating member (4) which can enter into nonpositive engagement with at least one contact (2.1 to 2.8 and 1.1 to 1.8) both in any of the longitudinally shifted positions and in any of the rotated positions.

An electromechanical pulse generator includes a toothed disk driven by a rotating shaft to operate two pairs of contacts to generate one pulse output and one direction-of-rotation output. The pulse contacts and the direction-of-rotation contacts operate independently of each other. The toothed disk is rotatable and axially displaceable. The axial displacement is dependent on the direction of rotation via an inclined plane in the form of a screw thread which is rotatable by the rotary shaft. By axial displacement of the toothed disk, the direction of rotation of the shaft is detected, and by rotation of the toothed disk, the pulses are generated.

In a pulse generator with a rotor (7) provided with a conductive pattern and fixed contact springs wiping over the pattern, the latter is formed by a central continuous slip ring (15) which is concentric with the drive shaft (3) of the rotor (7) and has inwardly and outwardly projecting teeth (16; 17), the number of internal teeth (16) being equal to the number of external teeth (17), and the internal and external teeth having the same angular spacing (.alpha.). A fixed contact (32) slides on the slip ring, and two fixed impulse contacts (33, 31) slide on circular paths (K1, K2) formed by the internal teeth (16) and the external teeth (17), respectively, and the internal teeth (16) are staggered with respect to the external teeth (17) and/or the two fixed impulse contacts (31, 33) are displaced in relation to one another such that at least in one direction of rotation of the rotor (7), the fixed impulse contacts (31, 33) cannot simultaneously make contact with a tooth (16, 17) of their circular paths (K1, K2) or with the flank of such a tooth.

A miniature rotary multi-position switch capable of being mounted on a printed circuit board (2). The housing (1) and the rotor (8) of the rotary switch, are each provided with a throughgoing bore (33, 16). The rotating control shaft (17) is inserted into the bore (16) of the rotor (8), so that the shaft projects on one of the sides (3, 18) of the housing (1). This permits the rotary switch to be actuated from any optional side of the printed circuit board (2). Therefore, the printed circuit board (2) can be installed with one of its two plane sides facing the actuating side of an equipment unit, and the rotary switch can be nevertheless actuated in that the control shaft (17) is fitted accordingly. The rotary switch is mounted to the printed circuit board (2) by snap locks (5) and the rotor (8) is held inside the housing (1) with the aid of detent elements (10).

Rotary switch for printed circuit boards

A rotary switch having a rotor and a housing and providing a plurality of angular switch positions or stages. The switch includes a plurality of radial slots in the housing having stop pins selectively inserted therein. The angular spacing between neighboring slots is twice the position angle or rotation from one switch position to the other. One or two stop bolts are mounted on the rotor at angular positions between the angular positions of a selected pair of stop pins in the housing. The stop bolts are separated from one another by a spacing equal to the position angle of rotation. The stop bolts engage the stop pins to limit the desired number of stages or switch positions. By selecting a corresponding combination of one or more stop pins and the arrangement of one or two stop bolts, any odd or even number of switch positions, each separated by the minimum angle or rotation, can be selected.

Multi-stage rotary switch with a variable control-span restriction

A multistage rotary switch with several wafers, is provided with one case member with fixed contacts per switch wafer and one rotor with the movable contacts. The rotor is axially acted upon by the contact springs. The edges of the case members adjoining one another, are provided with centering grooves of the same type, in which a centering ring is inserted, and the centering ring and rotor are made from a low-friction plastic material.
