A valve includes an electromagnetic actuator, which has an armature in an armature space and guided on a valve needle operable by the actuator using the armature. A first and a second stop element that interact with a first and second end face, respectively, of the armature are situated on the valve needle. The armature has a spring receptacle, which is open towards the first end face of the armature, and into which a spring is inserted. The armature has at least one fluid channel, which, during operation, allows fluid to pass through between first and second regions of the armature space at the first and second end faces, respectively, of the armature. The fluid channel incorporates at least part of the spring receptacle. Sections of the fluid channel run radially outwards along a direction oriented from the first to the second end face and coaxial to a longitudinal axis.

Valve for metering a fluid

The invention relates to a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine, having a unit such as a pressure regulator, mounted in electrically insulated fashion and including an electrically conductive housing, and the housing is connected via an electrical connection to a defined electrical potential. As a result, static charging of the unit, which could become dangerous, is precluded. The fuel supply system is intended in particular for pumping fuel to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.

A feeding aggregate for fuel has a feed pump which is formed as a side channel pump and has a housing, a pump chamber formed in the housing, and an impeller arranged in the pump chamber, an electric motor provided for driving of the impeller and having a stator and a rotor, with the rotor formed of one piece with the impeller, the feed pump having at least one pump stage, a rim of vanes having vane chambers therebetween and provided on at least one end side of the impeller, a partial ring-shaped side passage formed in the housing opposite to the rim of vanes and having an inlet and an outlet spaced from one another in a peripheral direction of the impeller and open into the side passage, the at least one pump stage of the feed pump having the rim of vanes only on one end side of the impeller and having the side passage in the housing opposite to the rim of vanes, the inlet and the outlet of the side passage being arranged at a same end side of the impeller, and the impeller at an end side which is opposite to the vanes being provided with recesses which are at least approximately mirror-symmetrical to the vane chambers and are connected through openings in the impeller with the vane chambers.

Feeding aggregate for fuel

The invention relates to a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine, having a unit, such as a pressure regulator, mounted in electrically insulated fashion and including an electrically conductive housing, and the housing is connected via an electrical connection to a defined electrical potential. As a result, static charging of the unit, which could become dangerous, is precluded. The fuel supply system is intended in particular for pumping fuel to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.

Fuel supply device

The apparatus for supplying fuel includes a fuel tank and a fuel feed unit in the fuel tank. The fuel feed unit has a main housing, a suction cover arranged in a bottom part of the main housing, a fuel pump and a degassing valve arranged in the suction cover for degassing the fuel pump. The fuel pump itself includes an impeller housing with a circular passage for fuel flow and an electric-motor-driven impeller. The impeller housing is arranged in the main housing and next to the suction cover and it is provided with a degassing passage connecting the circular passage with the degassing valve. To improve starting behavior the fuel feed unit has a degassing valve in the suction cover, which is connected with the circular passage of the impeller housing by a degassing passage. The degassing valve opens to the fuel tank when pressure in the degassing passage exceeds a predetermined value for degassing the fuel pump. The degassing valve can be a spring-loaded ball valve in which the compression spring bearing on the ball provides a predetermined counter-force so that the degassing valve is kept open during idle and start of impeller rotation until degassing is complete.

A pressure regulating valve has a valve chamber having an inlet for connecting to a pressure source, a discharge chamber communicating through a valve opening with the valve chamber, a valve member, a valve seat surrounding the valve opening, a valve closing spring which presses the valve member against the valve seat with an adjustable spring force, and a throttling surface arranged downstream of the valve opening so that between the valve member and an inner wall of the discharge chamber, a pressure is formed at the valve member which counteracts the spring force.

The aggregate has a feed pump formed as a flow pump (10) comprising an impeller (12) rotating in a pump chamber (24) which has a peripheral rim of vanes (32) on respective opposite sides of the impeller which together with opposing side walls (26,28) bounding the pump chamber (24) form respective lateral feed ducts (44). The vanes (32) of the impeller (12) are connected with each other by an outer ring (36) at their outer radial ends. The outer ring (36) of the impeller (12) similarly has respective additional rims of additional vanes (101) on opposite sides thereof. Both additional vane rims are separated from each other by an annular separating member (102) placed between them in an axial direction. The additional vanes (101) are arranged in succession with equal spacing (e) in a rotation direction around the impeller and are shaped to optimize fluid flow. The additional vanes (101) of the outer ring (36) together with the opposing side walls (26,28) and/or the annular wall (30) form at least one arc-shaped flow duct (94) extending around a rotation axis (13) of the impeller (12) in which a pressure build-up occurs in a rotation direction (11) of the impeller (13).

Aggregate for feeding a fuel from tank to an internal combustion engine

The flow pump for supplying a fuel in a motor vehicle includes a pump housing (10) provided with a pump chamber (11) bounded by two radially-extending side walls (12,13) axially spaced from each other and connected with each other by a peripheral wall (14) and a rotatable impeller (24) arranged in the pump chamber (11) coaxial to a pump axis (22). The impeller (24) includes circumferentially spaced radial impeller blades (29) bounding axially open impeller chambers (31) and an outer ring (30) connecting the impeller blades (29) with each other. The two radially-extending side walls (12,13) are provided with respective groove-like side channels (20,21) concentric to the pump axis (22) and open to the pump chamber (11). Each radially-extending side wall (12,13) has an intervening portion (23) between a channel end (212) and a channel beginning (211). The outer ring (30) and the peripheral wall (14) bound a radial space (32,32') between them and the outer ring (30) includes a circumferential radial gap (34) or a plurality of throughgoing passages (37) for providing a fluid flow between a number, advantageously all, of the impeller chambers (31) and the radial space (32,32').
