An inverter has at least three phases for supplying current to an electrical machine. The inverter also has a control unit and at least one power output stage connected to the control unit on an input side. The control unit is configured to generate pulse-width-modulated control signals for activating the power output stage. The inverter further has a heat sink and, for each phase, an intermediate circuit capacitor and a semiconductor switch half bridge. The heat sink has a flat thermal contact surface. The thermal contact surface is connected in a thermally conductive manner to the control unit and to the semiconductor switch half bridges. The heat sink has a recess for each of the intermediate circuit capacitors, and the intermediate circuit capacitors are each arranged in one of the recesses in the heat sink.

Inverter for an electrical machine

An electric machine, in particular an electric motor and/or generator, has a stator and a rotor which is designed to be permanently magnetic or to be energized in particular. The machine has at least two sub-machines. Each of the sub-machines has the same number of phases. The machine has a power output stage for each sub-machine, and the machine also has at least one control unit which is connected to the power output stages. The control unit is designed to generate a pulse width-modulated signal for actuating the power output stages. The control unit is designed to generate the PWM signal for the sub-machines such that an ascending or descending side of a PWM pulse for one sub-machine, said side representing a switching time in each case, and a pulse center of a PWM pulse for another sub-machine of the sub-machines are delayed relative to each other.

Electric machine

An electric machine has at least two sub-machines, each having the same number of phases and being designed to generate a magnetic rotary field independently of one another to rotate the rotor. The machine has a power output stage for each sub-machine, each being designed to energize the sub-machines independently of one another. The machine also has at least one or only one control unit which is connected to the power output stages and is designed to generate a PWM signal in order to actuate the power output stages. The control unit is designed to generate the PWM signal for the sub-machines such that each of the PWM pulses for a sub-machine begins at a starting time of a PWM period and/or to generate the PWM pulses for another sub-machine such that each of the PWM pulses ends at an end time of the PWM period for the other sub-machine.

The invention relates to an overvoltage arrester for an electrical drive, especially a drive for a motor vehicle. The overvoltage arrester is designed to be connected to an on-board power supply system of a motor vehicle. The overvoltage arrester is designed to reduce any overvoltage produced in the on-board power supply system when a load is switched off. According to the invention, the overvoltage arrester is connected to a control unit for an electronically commutated electrical machine. The overvoltage arrester has an input for an on-board power supply system and is designed to detect when a pre-determined voltage value is exceeded and to produce an overvoltage signal depending on whether the voltage value is exceeded. The control unit is designed to transfer the electrical machine from an operating mode in which the machine generates power to an at least partial power-loss mode or to a mode in which it operates as a motor.

Electrical on-board network and method for operating an electrical on-board network

The invention relates to a method for current measurement in an in particular multiphase electrical system, in which an electrical load is energized as desired by at least one circuit element and a control unit produces drive signals which act on the at least one circuit element in order to achieve the desired energization of the load. The invention provides that clock patterns of the drive signals are associated with measurement windows for current measurement, in particular for measuring phase currents, and clock patterns are temporally offset in order to obtain measurement windows with a sufficient temporal length. A minimum temporal shift is the sum of a minimum dead time of the circuit element, a minimum settling time of the measuring amplifier circuit, and a minimum sampling time of the analogue-to-digital converter. The invention furthermore provides that the clock patterns are selected taking into consideration a phase selection for the current measurement. Provision may be made for the clock patterns to be selected taking into consideration the instantaneous rotary angle position of the phase vector. In addition, a corresponding apparatus is specified.
