A wet cleaning device, in particular a wet wiping device, has a cleaning roller which is rotatable about a roller axis and has a cleaning lining. In order to create a wet cleaning device in which the regeneration effect is optimized, in particular while using a minimum of liquid, the wet cleaning device has a decelerating element to assist the removal of liquid and/or of dirt from the cleaning roller, which element has an impact edge directed radially outwards with respect to the roller axis and is arranged between fibers of the cleaning lining during a regeneration operation in such a way that the free ends of the mechanically unloaded fibers project outwards in the radial direction beyond the impact edge.

A wet-cleaning appliance, in particular a wet mop, has a cleaning roller, which is mounted in a rotatable manner about a roller axis, and having a roller cover, which encloses the cleaning roller in the circumferential direction, at least in part, and has at least one movable covering element for optionally closing and/or releasing an opening region of the roller cover. In order to prevent residual liquid contained in the roller cover from dripping from the wet-cleaning appliance when the roller cover is opened, the movable covering element has a collecting unit, in particular a collecting container, which has a storage volume for collecting liquid that remains in the roller cover.

Wet-cleaning appliance having a cleaning roller

A wet cleaning device, has a cleaning roller that is rotatable about a roller axis, the cleaning roller having a cleaning covering. The wet cleaning device has a deceleration element and a guide element for supporting the removal and discharge of liquid and/or dirt from the cleaning roller to a liquid channel. The deceleration element has an impact edge in opposite direction to the fibers of the rotating cleaning covering, wherein the guide element is arranged in the direction of rotation of the cleaning roller behind the impact edge. During a regeneration operation of the wet cleaning device, the impact edge is arranged so far apart between the fibers of the cleaning covering that free ends of the fibers project outward in the radial direction beyond the impact edge, and in the event of an impact on the impact edge, are deflected in the direction of the guide element.
