A rotary pump is presented for use in a medicament delivery device, where the pump has a back plate having an inner surface and a rotor housing is positioned adjacent to the back plate having a peripheral wall. A front plate support is connected to the back plate and a flexible front plate is positioned between the front plate support and the rotor housing. The pump is rotated using a planetary gear transmission, where an eccentric shaft is operatively connected to the planetary gear mechanism. A rotor is rotationally fixed to the eccentric shaft and movably positioned within the rotor housing. The rotor has three lobes, where each lobe has two peripheral curved surfaces sharing a common apex, where a first portion of each peripheral surface adjacent to the apex defines a non-smooth curve.

Rotary pump driven medicament delivery device

An injection apparatus has a barrel () that is adapted to receive a container () with injection fluid (). It further comprises a piston rod (), provided with a thread (), for expelling injection fluid () from such a container (), which piston rod () is guided relative to the barrel () in the axial direction (). Additionally provided is a threaded part () whose thread () is in engagement with the thread () of the piston rod (), which threaded part () is rotatable relative to the piston rod () and relative to the barrel () in order to set an injection dose, and, during an injection operation, is prevented from rotating relative to the piston rod ().

Injection device

An injection device () features a housing () for reception of a container () having a fluid () to be injected, a first element () for ejecting injection fluid () from such a container (), and said first element () has an external thread (). A metering element () has an internal thread () that is in engagement with the external thread () of the first element (), and said metering element () is rotatable, together with the first element (), for preselection of a desired injection dose. A coupling arrangement (K) serves, during an injection operation, to create a nonrotatable connection between the first element () and the housing () and thereby to block, during an injection operation, a rotation of the first element () relative to the housing () but to enable a rotation of the metering element () relative to the housing ().

An injection device has a housing ( ) in which a container ( ) for receiving an injectable fluid ( ) is longitudinally movable. To its proximal end, an injection needle ( ) can be releasably coupled. The injection device has a spring ( ) associated with a releasable detent ( ) for latching this spring ( ) in a cocked configuration (FIG. ). Further, there is a cocking member ( ) insertable into the proximal end of the housing ( ) for moving the longitudinally movable container ( ) in the distal direction and for thereby bringing the spring ( ) into the cocked configuration.

Injecting device

An injection device has a housing ( ) and therein a spring for storing energy for an injection operation. The spring ( ) impinges, in the proximal direction, upon an ejection member ( ) for ejecting injection liquid ( ) from a vessel, displaceably arranged in the housing, at whose proximal end an injection needle is attached. Located in the housing is a displacement member ( ), displaceable in the longitudinal direction, for displacing the vessel ( ) in the proximal direction, in order to effect a movement of the injection needle ( ) in the proximal direction and, thus, its insertion. Provided on the ejection member ( ) is a detent lug ( ), associated with which is a corresponding detent opening ( ) in the displacement member ( ). A control member ( ), effective in travel-dependent fashion, serves to disengage the detent lug ( ) from the detent opening ( ) when the displacement member ( ), during the injection operation, has traveled a predefined distance in the proximal direction.

The invention relates to an injection device (,) having a housing (,) and an injection fluid container (,) which can move, in relation to this housing, between a distal and proximal end position, and also having a pushrod (,) to act on a plunger (,) in this container (,) for the purpose of expelling fluid from the container. A drive connection (,) is provided between the pushrod (,) and the container (,) and, in the distal end position of the container, this drive connection is effective in both the proximal and the distal direction, but in the proximal end position of the container (,), it is only effective when the pushrod (,) is moved in the distal direction.

An injection device has a housing (,) wherein there is a longitudinally movable expressing member (,) for expressing an injection fluid from a fluid container (,). In order to displace the expressing member (,) longitudinally within the housing, an actuating member (,) is associated therewith. The actuating member is displaceable between a proximal end position and a distal end position. Between the actuating member (,) and the expressing member (,), a position-dependent connecting device (,) is provided, which is disabled in the distal end position of the actuating member (,) and is enabled in a position range adjacent to the distal end position of the actuating member (,) including its proximal end position. One thus obtains an injection device which is simple to operate, and which is especially adapted to permit a patient to repeatedly administer the same constant injection dose.

The invention concerns a needle arrangement for an injection device (,). It has a hollow needle carrier (,) on which a hollow needle (,) is mounted and which is configured for mounting on the injection device (,). The arrangement has a cap (,) which is displaceable on the hollow needle carrier (,) approximately parallel to the longitudinal extension of the hollow needle (,), is equipped at its proximal end segment with a passthrough opening (,) for the hollow needle (,), and in its proximal end position substantially conceals the hollow needle (,). A compression spring (,) is arranged between the hollow needle carrier (,) and cap (,) in order to displace the cap (,) into its proximal end position. Also provided is a covering cap (,) which surrounds the displaceable cap (,), the hollow needle (,), and the hollow needle carrier (,), and is sealed on its open side by a sealing member (,) that is removable by the user. A needle arrangement of this kind can easily be replaced after an injection. It improves compliance because the patient does not at any time see the hollow needle (,). The compression spring can be configured as a plastic spring (,). It is preferably integral with the hollow needle carrier (,), which simplifies manufacture.

Needle arrangement

An injection device has a housing (112,116) wherein there is a longitudinally movable expressing member (186) for expressing an injection fluid from a fluid container (118). In order to displace the expressing member (186) longitudinally within the housing, an actuating member (170, 172) is associated therewith. The actuating member is displaceable between a proximal end position and a distal end position. Between the actuating member (170, 172) and the expressing member (186), a position-dependent connecting device (166', 167', 198, 210, 212) is provided, which is disabled in the distal end position of the actuating member (170, 172) and is enabled in a position range adjacent to the distal end position of the actuating member (170, 172) including its proximal end position. One thus obtains an injection device which is simple to operate, and which is especially adapted to permit a patient to repeatedly administer the same constant injection dose.

A safety injection device, such as a hypodermic needle, for dispensing liquid from a cartridge in quantities determined by the length of a plunger which may be selectively adjusted in one position only of the plunger. The plunger comprises first and second threadedly connected sections cooperating with a connector which may be selectively activated when the plunger is moved into the one position to permit rotation of one plunger section relative to the other. Preferably, the adjustment position of the plunger coincides with its positions assumed in preparation of an injection stroke, with the connector preferably providing for undirectional rotation of the one plunger section.

An injection device (10) is adapted to receive a cartridge (11) holding injection fluid (12). This cartridge (11) is displaceable in the proximal direction in the injection device counter to the force of a resetting spring (157). An adjustable-length tappet (80) is biased in the proximal direction by a spring (53), is displaceable in the injection device between a proximal end position and a distal end position, and has a threaded spindle (19) which is guided in the thread (17) of an adjusting member (15), serves to act upon a plunger (23) provided in the cartridge (11), and has a guide member (67) associated with it; the guide member is connected to it in a manner fixed against relative rotation but axially freely displaceably. This guide member (67) is rotatable relative to the housing (100) of the injection device (10) in the distal end position of the tappet (80), but not in the proximal end position thereof.

To permit accuracy presetting of a dose for an injection to be ejected from an ampule (12) containing more fluid medication than the dose requires, a plunger (18) which is telescopically received within a tubular element (77) is movable against the customary piston (17) in the ampule for a distance which depends on the extent of telescopic insertion of the plunger stem (18') within the tubular element (77). This extent can be set by a rotary knob or sleeve (56, 65) which rotates the tubular element with respect to the plunger (18); the plunger and tubular element are coupled together by a steeply pitched spiral thread (76), thereby controlling the extent of projection of the combined injection dosing arrangement of plunger (18) and plunger length setting mechanism (77), and hence controlling the amount of medicinal fluid expelled through an injection needle (16) coupled to the ampule (12) at the end of the injection device.

Injection device with a cocking element and a second setting element

A double-headed body contact piece has first and second acoustic connector portions connected to first and second acoustic passages of a stethoscope-tube attachment, and further has a first, non-differential auscultation head with a single auscultation chamber and a second, differential-auscultation head with a pair of chambers which latter are to be placed simultaneously with each other against a patient's body with a predetermined spacing between them. A switchover mechanism has first and second settings, involving registration and non-registration of various passages internal to the body contact piece. In the first setting, acoustic connections are established leading from the single chamber of the first head to both the first and the second acoustic connector portions, these two connections being of at least equivalent geometry and having the same dimensions so as to be acoustically equivalent to each other. In the second setting, one acoustic connection is established leading from one chamber of the second head to one of the acoustic connector portions, and another connection is established leading from the second head's other chamber to the other acoustic connector portion, these two connections likewise being of at least equivalent geometry and having the same dimensions so as to be acoustically equivalent to each other. In the first setting, the physician uses the first head and hears identical body sounds in his two earpieces. In the second setting, he uses the second head and hears in his two earpieces body sounds as picked up by one and by the other of the second head's two chamber, for differential auscultation.
