A coupling for transmitting torque from a drive to a load has a first connection for connection with the drive, a second connection for connection with the load, and an elastic element for vibration damping and between the first and second connections in the energy transmission path therebetween. An actuator carried on the elastic element has a base body and a centrifugal mass body rotatable relative thereto. One of the two bodies carries an electrical conductor and the other of the two bodies carries a permanent magnet. The conductor is in a magnetic field of the permanent magnet. Thus a flow of current through the conductor makes the centrifugal mass body exert an angular force on the base body to compensate for rotational vibrations.

Torque-transmitting coupling

A coupling for transmitting torque from a drive element to a driven element has a drive-side connector rotatable about a drive-side rotation axis and a plurality of drive-side fasteners angularly spaced on the drive-side connector around the drive-side axis of the drive-side connector. A load-side connector rotatable about a load-side rotation axis carries a plurality of load-side fasteners spaced on the load-side connector around the drive-side rotation axis. A plurality of connecting elements each have a pair of opposite ends. Respective swivel joints are each connected without length compensation between one end of a respective one of the connecting elements and a respective one of the drive-side fasteners. Further respective swivel joints are each connected without length compensation between a respective one of the other ends of the connecting elements and a respective one of the load-side fasteners.

Coupling

A coupling for connecting a drive to a load has an input connector that defines with a plurality of radially spaced input attachment points all lying on a common radial plane of a rotation axis and a similar output connector with a plurality of output attachment points. Connecting elements each have one end connected to a respective input attachment point and an opposite end connected to a respective output attachment point by a link joint. The radial spacing of the input attachment points from the input rotation axis and the radial spacing of the output attachment points from the output rotation axis are the same. The input attachment points and the output attachment points coupled to these input attachment points by a connecting element are angularly spaced relative to each other about the input rotation axis by 80&#xb0; to 100&#xb0;.

Flexible homokinetic coupling

An elastic shaft coupling has a resilient coupling body, a drive-side connector and an output-side connector connected to opposite sides of the coupling body, and an actively controllable damping mass. A connecting element connects the damping mass to the coupling body. Adjusting elements acting on the connecting element can influence how the shaft coupling compensates for torsional vibrations.
