An assembly comprised of a brake disk with a hub. Webs which are adjacent to one another in the circumferential direction extend between and are anchored to the brake disk and are attached to the hub. At least two of the webs which are adjacent to one another in the circumferential direction are formed together in one piece, either from a bent section joining the webs or because adjacent segments having respective adjacent webs are attached. The webs absorb stresses between the brake disk and the hub.

The present invention relates to a spot-type disc brake with a brake housing straddling a brake disc, with at least one brake pad that is arranged in the brake housing so as to be slidable in the actuating direction and cooperates tribologically with the brake disc upon brake application, with at least one actuating device arranged in the brake housing to apply an actuating force to the brake pad, and with a spring assembly for the active adjustment of a clearance between the brake pad and the brake disc after brake application. To simplify the configuration of the spring assembly, the spring assembly comprises exactly one spring which is secured detachably in the spot-type disc brake and is supported on the brake pad and on the brake housing. A spring of this type is arranged advantageously symmetrically within the brake housing to prevent an undesirable inclined positioning of the brake pads.

Vehicle braking system with a pneumatic brake booster

A method for operating a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine having gas exchange valves which are variably adjustable with respect to the valve opening characteristics either directly electromagnetically or by way of an electrohydraulic valve actuation system which includes several electromagnetic valves. For adaptation of all gas exchange valves to a desired valve opening characteristics, the electromagnetic valves are operated cylinder-selectively in the operation of the internal combustion engine by means of variable actuating voltages and/or actuating currents.

Multiple forces act upon a steering spindle. Further, the mounting support of the steering spindle and the steering spindle itself are affected by tolerances, as a result of which the steering spindle with its longitudinal axis is moved radially relative to the vehicle chassis. Control devices for controlling the vehicle dynamics require steering angle sensors which have to indicate the current steering angle and variations thereof with great precision. If the steering angle is invariably fixed with respect to the chassis frame, the measurement frequently becomes inaccurate due to the radial movement of the spindle axis. As a remedy, the present invention arranges for the steering angle sensor to be positioned in the area of a spindle bearing. Favorable improvements relate to linking the sensor housing to the housing of the spindle bearing.

The present invention relates to an automotive vehicle control system, preferably comprising a control logic with at least two control functions, such as ABS and YTC functions, with a tire sensor (tire wall torsion sensor or SWT), i.e., with at least one pick-up for measuring data fitted stationarily on the vehicle body, e.g. a spring strut of a vehicle wheel, and cooperating with at least one encoder applied to the tire wall and co-rotating with the wheel or tire, and with at least one conventional rotational speed sensor that is mounted on the wheel, for example, on the wheel bearing, and includes a measuring data emitter and a pick-up for measuring data, wherein the output information or output signals of the tire sensor and the at least one conventional sensor are correlated and evaluated in an electronic evaluating circuit of the control system to determine vehicle condition variables by means of forces that act on the individual wheels and tires.

Automotive vehicle control system

The invention relates to a motor-driven pump unit, in particular for antilock systems of motor vehicles, with an electric motor that is arranged on one side of a pump unit and an electronic unit that is arranged on another side of the pump unit and fastened thereto. The main aspect of the invention is that means are provided for an axially movable attachment and contacting of carbon brushes in connection with an axial installation of the unit. In this way, the individual components of the unit can be assembled axially in a simple manner and at low cost. In addition, the unit requires very little space.

Engine pump unit

The present invention relates to a motor-and-pump assembly including an electric motor and a piston pump, in particular for slip-controlled brake systems of automotive vehicles, wherein pistons of the pump are adapted to be driven by way of an eccentric, and the drive shaft of the electric motor and a support axle of the piston pump are separately designed, and wherein a three-ring bearing furnished with an eccentric intermediate ring is arranged on the support axle. According to the present invention, at least one counterbalance weight is provided in the proximity of the eccentric for the purpose of noise reduction and enhanced truth of running of the assembly.

Motor-pump assembly

The present invention relates to a motor-driven assembly with a motor unit and a working machine, wherein the motor unit includes a rotatable rotor with a motor shaft to drive at least one working element. The nub of the present invention is the provision of a holding element which extends through the motor shaft and pivotably mounts the rotor. These measures ensure a space-saving mounting support of the rotor, on the one hand, and a drive of the working machine with practically no vibrations and with little noise in operation, on the other hand. The holding element may be arranged, for example, as a tie rod, between the electric motor and the cover for an electronic unit and may serve for the attachment of the construction units on a pump housing.

Motor-driven assembly

For externally actuating a brake system, both the surroundings of the brake pedal and, if necessary, additional parameters (d,d ,V ) are monitored a sensor unit ( ). Then the brake pressure (p ) will be set automatically in an expedient manner in dependence of the individual parameters that were evaluated. Advantageous further embodiments include proposals for precharging the brake or braking slightly or automatically applying a higher brake pressure in dependence of the measuring results, in so far as this is reasonable with respect to road conditions and the driver's wishes as they were assumed by the system.

A shielded housing for accommodating electronic circuits or components which are sensitive to electromagnetic interference fields or radiate interference fields, is fitted with an electrical connection in the form of a connecting cable, connecting plug or the like. This housing includes a shielding in the form of a closed metallic coating (of a conductive material) and, moreover, includes filter devices which are active against interference fields in particular in the area where the connection enters or penetrates the housing. In accordance with this invention, at least in the area of entry or lead-in, filter devices with capacitors are provided which are embodied as integral components of the connecting elements and of the shielding and, possibly, of the housing walls, also.

The invention discloses a system, preferably for influencing the performance of a motor vehicle, comprising a sensor unit with an electric-mechanical transducer and a mechanical-electric transducer with signal recording amplifier, wherein such sensor unit is connected to an A/D signal converter by way of an output and to a b/A signal converter of a digital signal processing unit by way of an input.

Motion sensor for a motor vehicle

The present invention relates to an automotive vehicle brake system with wheel slip control which is provided with a non-return valve, between a secondary and a primary circuit. Initially, both circuits are evacuated for filling the brake system with pressure fluid, and evacuation of the secondary circuit is effected by way of the valve that opens. The present invention teaches providing this valve with an additional device by way of which the opening pressure of the valve is automatically increased after filling the brake system with brake fluid. The opening pressure shall be increased at least to such an extent that the valve closure member remains in the closing position at least during normal operation of the brake system. It is achieved by this provision that the secondary circuit can be sufficiently evacuated for the purpose of being filled with brake fluid, without a vacuum being generated later in the secondary circuit during a braking operation.

The present invention relates to an automotive vehicle brake system with wheel slip control which is provided with a so-called filling valve, i.e., a non-return valve, between a secondary and a primary circuit. Initially, both circuits are evacuated for filling the brake system with pressure fluid, and evacuation of the secondary circuit is effected by way of the non-return valve that opens. The present invention suggests providing this valve with a blocking device which becomes effective when the brake is actuated for the first time, thereby causing pressure build-up in the primary circuit. The blocking device retains the valve closure member on the valve seat member, with the result that the non-return valve remains closed in the normal operation of the brake system. It is prevented by this provision that vacuum develops in the secondary circuit during a braking operation.
