A brake system for a motor vehicle has electromechanical wheel brakes, a brake operating unit and a central brake control unit. The wheel brakes each have a local brake control unit. The central brake control unit is connected to the brake operating unit and the local brake control units via a first data connection. The brake operating unit is connected to the local brake control unit of at least one wheel brake via a second data connection. In a normal operating mode the central brake control unit determines at least one brake demand from first operating information, received via the first data connection and transmits control signals corresponding to the brake demand to the local brake control units. In a fallback operating mode the local brake control units actuate the respective wheel brakes basis on second operating information, received via the second data connection.

A brake system for a motor vehicle having hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes. Each wheel an electrically actuatable inlet valve and electrically actuatable outlet valve for setting wheel-specific brake pressures. A first electrically controllable pressure provision device is connected to a brake supply line to which the wheel brakes are connected. A second electrically controllable pressure provision device is connected to the brake supply line. A first electrical device activates the first pressure provision device. A second electrical device activates the second pressure provision device. Electrically independent first and second electrical partitions are provided. The first pressure provision device and the first electrical device are assigned to the first electrical partition and the second pressure provision device, the second electrical device and the inlet and outlet valves are assigned to the second electrical partition. The inlet and outlet valves are activated by the second electrical device.

Brake system for a motor vehicle and two methods for operating the brake system

A load control circuit includes one or more current regulators, in particular in an electronic motor vehicle control unit, wherein one or more preferably inductive load(s) is/are connected to a circuit located outside the control unit or inside the control unit, and wherein the load current flowing through the load(s) is or can be reduced by way of one or more step-down converters to a voltage potential below the supply voltage. A step-down converter includes a clocked DC/DC converter having at least one clocked switch and an energy storage medium, in particular a capacitor, for conversion, wherein the clock control of the switch or switches is modified according to the charge state of the energy storage medium and wherein the charge state is determined according to the voltage present at the energy storage medium.

The present invention relates to a device in an electronic driving dynamics control system, comprising an electromechanic transducer, especially an electric motor, a hydraulic pump, and an electric actuating unit for the transducer, said transducer including a magnetic or magnetizable stator and a rotor, as well as connections for connecting the actuating unit, and a commutation device for the actuation of electromagnetic windings of the rotor, said invention inhering the special feature that the commutation device comprises three or more commutating elements that are electrically connected to the respective connections so that the windings of the rotor can be actuated individually by the actuating unit, with at least one commutating element being connected to a change-over element that provides for an additional connection for connecting a rotational speed measurement devices.
