The invention relates to a single-use connection device for insertion into a connection opening of a bioreactor, in particular in a connection opening of a top plate of a dimensionally-stable bioreactor or in a connection opening of a connection element of a pouch bioreactor. The single-use connection device is inserted in a connection opening of a top plate of a bioreactor and/or in a connection opening of a pouch reactor and is provided with multiple passages and an attachment section, wherein the single-use connection device is formed as a single piece and is made of plastic. The attachment section, on an outer peripheral surface, has an attachment structure for attaching the single-use connection device in the connection opening.

Single-use connection device

A single-use bioreactor, suitable in particular for use in a parallel bioreactor system for applications in cell culture and/or microbiology, a head plate for such a single-use bioreactor and a process for manufacturing the single-use bioreactor and the head plate. The single-use bioreactor comprises a head plate, a dimensionally stable container and a mixer, the head plate and the container enclosing a reaction chamber, and the mixer having a mixer shaft and a stirring member, said mixer shaft being mounted rotatably about a rotational axis in a bearing and the stirring member being fastened torsionally rigidly to the mixer shaft. The mixer and the bearing are arranged entirely within the reaction chamber and the mixer shaft has a magnetic portion which is arranged and adapted in such a way that it can be coupled magnetically in an axial direction to a rotary drive.

A sensor adapter is described for the noninvasive positioning of a sensor, especially of an electrochemical sensor, in a medium. The sensor adapter comprises an accommodating channel, in which the sensor can be positioned and the one end region of which is closed off by a semipermeable membrane. Moreover, the sensor adapter comprises a hollow cylindrical sealing structure, which is disposed within the accommodating channel coaxially with the longitudinal axis of the latter and with which the sensor can be disposed gas tight adjacent to the semipermeable membrane.

A pipette tip having the shape of an elongate small tube with a lower opening at the lower end for the passage of liquid, and an upper opening at the upper end, wherein a seat area exists on the inner circumference contiguous to the upper opening, which serves for plugging it onto a standardized conical attachment piece of a pipetting device, wherein the seat area has a retaining area with axially extending ribs projecting radially towards the inside, and below the retaining area a sealing area and is configured such that when the pipette tip is plugged onto the attachment piece with its seat area by a plugging force which ensures retaining and sealing of the pipette tip on the attachment piece, the ribs are partly plastically deformed, and elastic deformation occurs in the seat area outside of the ribs.

A cell culture dish, comprising: a dish with a bottom wall and a circumferential side wall standing upward from the same, a lid, which sits sealingly on the side wall in an aeration position, and means for holding the lid on the dish above the sealing position in an aeration position in which there is an aeration gap between side wall and lid, wherein these means are adapted to be overcome by pressing the lid and the dish together in order to bring the lid from the aeration position into the sealing position.

The present invention pertains to a culture plate, and in particular to a culture plate comprising a lid wherein the peripheral side wall of the lid is formed at least partially of at least one filter element made of a filter material. This enables lateral, uniform ventilation of the culture plate even in a stacked arrangement of the culture plate, avoiding at the same time significant loss of culture medium by evaporation.

The present invention discloses a disposable bioreactor, consisting of a container and a cap, which is connectable to the same and cannot be detached without destruction. For this purpose, the cap comprises a retaining structure with a plurality of locking arms running in the lateral direction, while the locking arms are adapted to be resiliently shortened in the longitudinal direction and to be locked vertically to the longitudinal direction in the container by way of a retaining surface.

A laboratory centrifuge has a centrifuge rotor supported on a stator and rotatable on a bearing about an axis of rotation. An electric motor drives the rotor and has pole pieces at a stationary part mounted on the stator and a rotatable part directly attached to the rotor, the stationary part having pole pieces with drive coils. The pole pieces magnetically act through a gap between the pole pieces and the rotatable part, and the gap lies in a surface which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation or forms a shallow frustocone opening either upwardly or downwardly.

A pipette device, comprising a housing, an actuating element projecting from the upper end of this housing, a cylinder, a hollow piston moveable in this cylinder for displacing an air volume, a rod connecting this piston to this actuating element which is depressed against spring force to displace this piston, and an adapter cone for receiving replaceable pipette tips communicating with this cylinder. According to the invention the hollow piston comprises an outer tubular shell and an inner support which is preferably made of plastic material and to which the actuating element is connected by a coupling. The invention particularly refers to providing a variety of shells made of different materials which can be easily replaced.
