The present disclosure relates to a system and a method for determining a perceptual-cognitive signature of a subject. A plurality of objects moves at a controlled speed on a visual display, for a predetermined duration in each of a series of core trials. The subject identifies one or more target objects amongst the plurality of objects. The perceptual-cognitive signature of the subject is determined according to the number of target objects, the speed of the objects, the predetermined duration of each of the series of core trials, and a correctness of identifications, by the subject after each predetermined duration, of the target objects over the series of core trials.

The present disclosure relates to a perceptual-cognitive-motor learning system. The system includes an apparatus for evaluating or improving perceptual-cognitive abilities of a subject during a training sequence. The system also has a training sequence controller for adding in at least a part of the training sequence at least one of (a) a first motor load add-on to the subject and (b) a second motor load add-on to the subject, the second motor load being heavier than the first motor load. A variant of the system has a user interface for allowing the subject to change at least one parameter of the training sequence. Perceptual-cognitive-motor learning system and method

A device and method for measuring mild perceptual impairment of a human subject, in which a stimulus having at least one parameter is applied to the human subject. The human subject produces a response to the stimulus indicative of a perception by the human subject of the at least one parameter of the stimulus. The response of the human subject is then processed in view of determining if the human subject suffers from mild perceptual impairment.

Device and method for measuring mild perceptual impairment

A configurable system is used to evaluate stimulus sensitivity of a subject. An action channel provides a stimulus to the subject and a reaction channel receives a response from the subject. A signal pathway is connected to the action channel and to the reaction channel. A controller establishes loops within the signal pathway. Loop types include a transduction loop including the action channel and forming a path terminating in the signal pathway, and a channel loop including the action channel and terminating at a reference unit. Other possible loop types include an interface loop including the action channel, the reaction channel and the reference unit having an initial parameter value, and an adaptive loop including the action channel, the reaction channel and the reference unit whose parameter value is adapted based on the response from the subject. A method using the system is also described.

Configurable system for evaluating stimulus sensitivity of a subject and method of use therefor

The present disclosure relates to a perceptual-cognitive-motor learning system. The system includes an apparatus for evaluating or improving perceptual-cognitive abilities of a subject during a training sequence. The apparatus includes a display configured to provide to the subject a visual contact with an environment. The system also has a training sequence controller configured to consolidate results of first successive tests made using a single spatial zone formed by the environment, segment the into a plurality of spatial zones, and consolidate results of second successive tests made using the plurality of spatial zones. Methods for evaluating or improving perceptual-cognitive abilities of a subject are also disclosed.

Method for measuring the visually-induced postural instability of a person is described, the method comprising a display providing step (S) during which a visual display device is provided. The display device is arranged so as to display a dynamic visual pattern in at least 50% of the lower half of the visual field of the person, leaving an upper half of the visual field of the person free. The method also comprises a display step (S) during which a dynamic visual pattern is displayed on the visual display device. The method further comprises a measuring step (S) during which a parameter representative of the postural instability is measured when the person is gazing at a fix target straight in front while having the dynamic visual pattern displayed on the visual display device.

In the method and apparatus for assessing neural integrity of a patient's central nervous system, the patient is stimulated with a visual or auditory flickering stimulus, and oxygenation in the patient's second eye is sensed. Finally, the method and apparatus detects whether a change in the sensed oxygenation occurs in response to stimulation of the patient with the visual or auditory flickering stimulus. This change in the sensed oxygenation is indicative of neural integrity of the patient's central nervous system.
