A filter assembly, has: a housing defining an internal volume and an outlet fluidly connectable to an oil system; a filter cartridge removably received within the internal volume of the housing; and an inlet conduit defining an inlet fluidly connectable to the oil system, the inlet conduit being in fluid flow communication with the internal volume of the housing, the inlet conduit having: a wall circumscribing a main flow passage from the inlet to the internal volume, and a sedimentation pocket defined by the wall, the sedimentation pocket extending downwardly away from the main flow passage and in a direction having a component parallel to a direction of a gravity when the filter assembly is in use.

A de-aerator is provided that includes a body, a cover panel, a fluid inlet, a helical fluid passage, at least one partition, and at least one fluid outlet. The body extends between opposing first and second axial ends. The body has a sidewall, a base panel, and an internal cavity. The fluid inlet is in communication with the body and is configured to direct fluid tangentially into the internal cavity. The helical fluid passage is disposed within the internal cavity and has entry and exit ends. The helical fluid passage has circumferential turns that each include an air passage. The at least one partition is disposed within the internal cavity at or below the passage exit end, spaced above the base panel. The at least one fluid outlet is configured to permit liquid passage from the internal cavity of the body to outside the body.

A shaft assembly for an aircraft powerplant, comprising: a shaft extending along an axis from a first shaft end to a second shaft end; a bearing assembly extending about the axis and supporting the first shaft end of the shaft, the bearing assembly including an inner race secured to the shaft and an outer race radially outward of the inner race relative to the axis; a seal extending about the axis and located radially outward of the shaft, the seal disposed axially between the bearing assembly and the second shaft end; a housing having a housing wall located between the bearing assembly and the seal; and a washer extending about the axis and located axially between the bearing assembly and the seal, the washer extending axially from the outer race to the housing wall.

A filter housing for containing a cartridge assembly having a filter cartridge secured to a filter cover, the filter housing has a peripheral wall extending around a longitudinal axis, and end wall secured to the peripheral wall, the filter housing defining a cavity partially enclosed by the peripheral wall and the end wall, the peripheral wall defining a cartridge-receiving section extending from the end wall along the longitudinal axis and sized for receiving the filter cartridge and a cover-receiving section extending along the longitudinal axis from the cartridge-receiving section to an open end of the filter housing opposed to the end wall and sized for receiving the filter cover, a portion of the cover-receiving section recessed radially outwardly from the cartridge-receiving section relative to the longitudinal axis, a lubricant outlet of the filter housing extending through the portion of the cover-receiving section of the peripheral wall.

Filter assembly for gas turbine engine

A filter assembly for an engine, has: a housing having a longitudinal axis and defining an internal volume, the housing having an open end; and a cartridge assembly receivable within the internal volume via the open end of the housing and securable to the housing, the cartridge assembly including a filter cartridge, a cover removably secured to the filter cartridge, and a sealing member between the cover and the filter cartridge, a locking engagement between the cover and the filter cartridge to limit an axial movement of the cover relative to the filter cartridge upon removal of the cartridge assembly from the housing.
