Disclosed herein is a method for producing heating in a high temperature heat pump having a heat exchanger. The method comprises extracting heat from a working fluid, thereby producing a cooled working fluid wherein said working fluid comprises at least one alkyl perfluoroalkene ether. Also disclosed is a method of raising the maximum feasible condenser operating temperature in a high temperature heat pump apparatus. The method comprises charging the high temperature heat pump with a working fluid comprising at least one alkyl perfluoroalkene ether. Also disclosed is a high temperature heat pump apparatus. The apparatus contains a working fluid comprising at least one alkyl perfluoroalkene ether. Also disclosed is a composition comprising at least one alkyl perfluoroalkene ether, and specialized additives or lubricants for use in a high temperature heat pump.

Use of alkyl perfluoroalkene ethers and mixtures thereof in high temperature heat pumps

Azeotropic or azeotrope-like compositions are disclosed. Alkyl perfluoroalkene ethers and uses thereof

The present disclosure provides azeotropic and azeotrope-like compositions comprised of methylperfluoroheptene ethers and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene. The present disclosure also provides for methods of use for the azeotropic and azeotrope-like compositions.

Azeotropic and azeotrope-like compositions of methyl perfluoroheptene ethers and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and uses thereof

Disclosed are compositions comprising a compound having the formula CF(CF)CF&#x2550;CFCF(OR)(CF)CF, wherein R is CHor CHor mixtures thereof, and wherein x and y are independently 0, 1, 2 or 3, and wherein x+y=1, 2 or 3. Also disclosed are unsaturated fluoroethers selected from the group consisting of CF(CF)CF&#x2550;CFCF(OR)(CF)CF, CF(CF)C(OR)&#x2550;CFCF(CF)CF, CFCF&#x2550;CFCF(OR)(CF)(CF)CF, CF(CF)CF&#x2550;C(OR)CF(CF)CF, and mixtures thereof, wherein R can be either CH, CHor mixtures thereof, and wherein x and y are independently 0, 1, 2 or 3, and wherein x+y=0, 1, 2 or 3. Also disclosed herein are novel methods of using a composition comprising at least one of the compounds described above as novel solvents, carrier fluids, dewatering agents, degreasing solvents or defluxing solvents.

Disclosed is an azeotrope-like composition comprising: from about 2% by weight to about 50% by weight of a hydrofluorocarbon selected from the group consisting of 1,1,1,2,2,3,4,5,5,5-decafluoropentane and 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane, from about 2% by weight to about 50% by weight 1,1,2,2,3,3,4-heptafluorocyclopentane, and an amount effective in dissolving oils and contaminants of trans-1,2-dichloroethylene. In another embodiment, are fluorocarbon solvent composition comprising from about 15 to about 99 weight percent 1,1,1,2,2,3,4,5,5,5-decafluoropentane and from about 85 to about 1 percent by weight 1,1,2,2,3,3,4-heptafluorocyclopentane wherein the freezing point of the composition is less than 0&#xb0; C.
