A diagonal gasket support () in a heat exchanger cassette adapted for a heat exchanger having a contact-free flow channel (), where the cassette () comprises two plates () of the same type, where each plate is provided with a corrugated pattern having a plurality of ridges () and valleys (), characterized in that the diagonal gasket support () comprises a plurality of indentations () and protrusions () positioned adjacent each other along a diagonal gasket groove (). The advantage of such a diagonal gasket support is that a contact-free support at the diagonal gasket is obtained.

Heat exchanger

The invention relates to a heat exchanger plate for a plate heat exchanger, whereby the heat exchanger plate has a number of ports, distribution regions, adiabatic regions, a heat transfer region, and an edge region which extends outside the ports and the regions, whereby the heat exchanger plate includes a gasket groove extending in the edge region outside the regions and round the ports, whereby the gasket groove accommodates a gasket for sealing abutment against an adjacent heat exchanger plate in the plate heat exchanger where the gasket groove creates at least a recess of the heat transfer region along each side of the heat transfer region and that the recess enables a clip-on tab to be securely fastened to an edge region of the heat exchanger plate at the recess.

Plate and gasket for a plate heat exchanger

A plate for the use in a heat exchanger cassette, where the plate comprises a corrugated pattern having a plurality of ridges () and valleys (), and where the plate comprises a sealing gasket groove () encircling a heat transfer surface () that will be part of a contact-free fluid channel when two cassettes comprising at least one plate each are positioned adjacent each other, wherein the sealing gasket groove () comprises a base surface with a first, flat section () and a second, bent section (), and where the bent section is angled with the angle &#x3b1;. The advantage of the inventive plate is that an airtight heat exchanger cassette can be obtained in an easy and cost-effective way.

The invention refers to a heat exchanger plate (), a pair of heat exchanger plates, and a plate package for a plate heat exchanger. Each heat exchanger plate includes a heat transfer area () and a distribution area () which adjoins the heat transfer area along a borderline (). The distribution area has projections and depressions abutting depressions and projections, respectively, on a distribution area of adjacent heat exchanger plates. The heat transfer area has projections () and depressions () abutting depressions and projections, respectively on a heat transfer area of adjacent heat exchanger plates for forming first contact surfaces positioned at a first distance from each other along a direction substantially parallel with the borderline. The heat transfer area includes a transition area (), which adjoins the distribution area along the borderline and has projections and depressions abutting depressions and projections, respectively, of a heat transfer area of adjacent heat exchanger plates for forming second contact surfaces at a second distance from each other along the first direction. The second distance is significantly shorter than the first distance.
