A brake lever for a drum brake of a vehicle including a lever section for connection with a brake cylinder and a housing section for attachment to a splined S-cam shaft, which receives an adjustment device, the adjustment device including a first clutch (K), the first clutch (K) being biased by a first spring element with a spring force and a second clutch (K) formed as an one-way clutch with a number of teeth (Z), the second clutch (K) being biased by a second spring element with a spring force, in which the teeth (Z) of the second clutch (K) are configured such that the spring force applied by the second spring element can shift the second clutch (K) in its completely closed position against the torques which are induced in it by friction, as long as the first clutch (K) remains in an open position.

Brake lever for drum brake

A brake disc for a disc brake having one or more sliding or not sliding discs on a hub or other central part is provided. The brake disc has an outer circumference and an inner circumference with a number of alternating teeth and gaps on the inner circumference. One or more measures are taken to reduce the risk of crack formation. One of the measures is to arrange areas of reduced material thickness at and/or adjacent each tooth. The areas of reduced material thickness may be openings having an axial or radial extent. Other measures include designing the teeth and gaps in an appropriate way and forming the brake disc with different properties at different parts.

Disc brake

The present invention concerns a disc brake having a caliper encircling one or more brake discs. At least one of said brake discs is received sliding on a hub or a part connected to the hub. According to the invention a maximal angle (&#x3b3;) between the rotational axes of the wheel axle and the brake disc is limited by the clearance between the brake disc and adjacent brake pads.

Guidance of a disc brake

The present invention refers to a disc brake and to disc brake stabilizing elements to be used in such disc brakes. The disc brake comprises a caliper receiving one or more brake pads and encircling one or more brake discs, of which at least one brake disc is received slideably on a hub or a part connected to the hub, by means of splines or teeth, wherein two or more disc stabilizing elements are placed between each brake disc and the hub or the part connected to the hub and which are configured and arranged such as to deflect in axial direction during application of the brake and create forces assisting the axial retraction of the brake discs at release of the brake.

The present invention concerns a disc brake having a caliper encircling one or more brake discs. At least one of said brake discs is received sliding on a hub or a part connected to the hub. According to the invention the caliper is to be mounted in a lagging position. In said lagging position at least a portion of the brake pad assemblies is positioned 0&#xb0;-180&#xb0; behind an imaginary point vertically above the centre of a wheel axle, when seen in the normal direction of disc rotation. The invention is intended for brakes, in which the brake pads only act on a restricted part of a full circle.

Positioning of a brake caliper

The present invention concerns a disc brake having one or more sliding or floating brake discs. The discs are received on a hub by means of splines on the discs and hub, respectively. The discs have means to widen the support of each disc on the hub. The means may have the form of one or more rings, pins and/or clips attached to the discs.

Supported disc

A disc brake comprising a caliper, one or more brake discs and one or more brake pads. The brake pads are received on back plates or other pad support. The caliper and the pad supports are designed to take up resulting re-action forces during braking in a plane perpendicular to a contact surface between the caliper and each pad support.

Balanced support of brake pads

The present invention concerns disc brakes and more precisely a brake disc () to central part () interface. The disc brake has a caliper () receiving one or more brake pads () and encircling one or more brake discs (). At least one of the brake discs () is received sliding on a central part () in the form of a hub, a sleeve or the like. Said central part () is received on a wheel axle or the like. The discs () are connected to the central part () in a rotationally interlocked but axially sliding way by means of teeth (), splines or the like. At least contact parts of the teeth () or the like of the at least one disc () and/or the central part () have the form of arcs, seen in the direction of the wheel axis. Said contact parts are the parts of the teeth faces expected to make contact with each other in a released position of the brake.

Disc to central part interface for disc brakes

The present invention concerns a connection between at least one brake disc and a hub or the like of a disc brake. The brake disc(s) is received slidable and non-rotatable on the hub. Each brake disc is furnished with plates on an inner periphery, which plates have a length in the axial direction of the hub exceeding the thickness of the brake disc.

Compact disc support

The present invention concerns a sleeve for a disc brake. The sleeve is furnished with splines () on the outer periphery for co-operation with one or more brake discs. The sleeve is to be placed on a wheel axle and is attached to a wheel flangeby means of a number of boltsreceived in threaded openings of the sleeve. A groove is arranged in the sleeve, which groove is parallel with the outer periphery of the sleeve and is open at one end. The sleeve has a generally straight outer periphery allowing the brake disc(s) to be slid off and slid onto the sleeve in any axial direction.

Sleeve for a disc brake

The brake mechanism for a disc brake is received in a caliper by means of pivots. The brake mechanism comprises a lever, a cross bar, a thrust yoke and an adjuster mechanism. The thrust yoke is provided with braces going diagonally from the center of the thrust yoke down to the backside of the thrust plate. The structure of the thrust yoke ensures that the force is applied in distinct, separated areas of the brake pads. The brake mechanism is held together as one unit which facilitates handling and assembly.
