A valve for metering a fluid, including an electromagnetic actuator and a valve needle which is actuatable by an armature of the actuator and used to actuate a valve closing body which cooperates with a valve seat surface to form a seal seat. The armature is movably guided at the valve needle in the process. A stop element connected to the valve needle limits a relative movement between the armature and the valve needle in connection with an actuation of the valve needle. At least one elastically deformable spacer element is provided between the armature and the stop element, which, during the limitation of the relative movement between the armature and the valve needle at the stop element, encloses an attenuation space provided between a front face of the armature and a stop element surface of the stop element facing the front face of the armature.

Valve for metering a fluid

A fuel injector, in particular a fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines, has a valve needle which cooperates with a valve-seat surface to form a sealing seat, and an armature which is connected to the valve needle, the armature being acted upon in the closing direction by a restoring spring and cooperating with a magnetic coil. The armature has a guide flange which is guided at an opposite surface. The guide flange does contact the opposite surface in all places, so that recesses are formed between the guide flange and the opposite surface.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines has an actuator and a valve needle actuatable by the actuator, which valve needle is in turn coupled to, and actuates, a valve closing body. The valve closing body and a valve seat surface of a valve seat body form a sealing seat. At least one injection opening is formed in the valve seat body, and an elastic vibration element penetrates the injection opening. The elastic vibration element is attached on the inlet side of the injection opening and leaves a portion of cross-section of the injection opening free.

Fuel injector

In a method for measuring lift and for adjusting a valve, easily focused, high-energy radiation is used, which permits a contact-free measuring operation. The radiation is directed at the valve-closure member that is permanently joined to the valve needle in the installed valve. By performing a differential measurement, thus a measurement in both end positions of the valve needle, the lift of the valve needle can be determined and, thus, corrected. The measurement is performed on a dry valve. The method is particularly suited for electromagnetically actuated fuel-injection valves of mixture-compressing internal-combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.
