A method of displaying data includes defining a primary display screen having a data display area and at least one linking area. At least one secondary display screen is also defined. At least one of the linking areas is associated with at least one of the secondary display screens.

Presentation system for displaying data

An information kiosk including a display, such as, for example, a touch screen, and having access to situational information is integrated with a radio frequency identification (RFID) sensor. The RFID sensor reads the RFID tag of a user, accesses user information corresponding to the RFID tag, and customizes an interface to the user based on the user information and the situational information. The interface is then output to the user using the display of the information kiosk. The information kiosk may communicate with a private branch exchange (PBX) switch to permit use of a contact information center (CIC) or a voice portal. The user information may be stored as a user profile in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, accessed by the information kiosk. By combining the user information with event or location information stored in the information kiosk, the information kiosk presents customized information to each user, including maps, directions, and recommended sites or events.

A course editor includes an input to accept author commands. An interface processes and displays the author commands to facilitate the creation of a course. The interface may include a workspace to display and assemble the structural elements into the course. The workspace may include a menu of structural elements that may be added to the course. The workspace is configured to display a structural element in response to an author command selecting the structural element from the menu. The structural elements may be a sub-course, a learning unit, and/or a knowledge item.

A tracking system includes at least one tracking tag, one or more tag trackers, a processor, a first memory, and a second memory. The processor causes the tag trackers to determine a location of the item to be tracked as item location information. The system maintains item location information and a database of associations between the at least one tracking tag and its respective item to be tracked. At least one tag tracker is associated with an item container and is configured to communicate tag information to the tracking system. A method for locating an item tagged with a tracking tag includes querying at least one tag tracker of an item container of a tracking system for a location of the tagged item and displaying the location of the tagged item on a display.

An e-learning course may include a number of structural elements that are aggregated into one or more levels. Each higher level may refer to any instance of a lower level. The structural elements include a course, a sub-course, a learning unit, or a knowledge item. The structural elements may include metadata. The structural elements also may include relations between structural elements. The course and its structural elements do not enforce any sequence of structural elements that the learner may use to traverse the course. In addition, the structural elements may be reused and reassembled to form different courses. A content repository is configured to store course data and its structural elements. A content player is configured to access the stored course data and assemble the structural elements.
