A drive system which has a drive unit with a drive shaft; a centrifugal mass arrangement, which is mounted on the drive shaft; and an electrical machine, comprising a stator arrangement and a rotor arrangement, where the rotor arrangement is mounted on the centrifugal mass arrangement, and where the stator arrangement and the rotor arrangement are adjacent to each other in the radial direction. So that optimum use can be made of the space available inside the drive unit, and so that the overall length of the drive unit required in the axial direction relative to the axis of rotation (A) can be kept as short as possible, the centrifugal mass arrangement has a contour such that, relative to the axis of rotation (A), a receiving space () is formed radially inside the electrical machine. The receiving space is bounded on at least one side by the centrifugal mass arrangement, and at least one additional component of the drive unit is installed in the receiving space.

Drive system, especially for a motor vehicle

A clutch lever arrangement for a clutch, especially for a commercial motor vehicle clutch, having a clutch lever pivotably supported on a bearing point on a stationary component. The lever has a force-application section for introducing an actuating force by way of an actuating element and a force-transmission section for transmitting the actuating force to a clutch-release bearing, which is mounted with freedom to slide axially back and forth in the pivot plane of the clutch lever. To reduce undesirable vibrations of the clutch lever, the lever is guided in its pivot plane by a guide member.

Clutch lever arrangement

A wear take-up device in the path of force transmission between the pressure plate and the force-exerting arrangement includes at least one take-up element, which can be shifted to compensate for wear; a blocking element with a detection section which can come to rest against a stop fixed to the housing upon the occurrence of wear and which can move with respect to the pressure plate; and a wedge-like arresting element, which is pretensioned by a pretensioning arrangement toward a state in which the detection section is arrested and thus prevented from returning to its previous position. A retaining device opposes the pretensioning action of the pretensioning arrangement at least under the conditions in which the detection section has essentially not been moved out of an arrested position with respect to the pressure plate.

Pressure plate assembly

A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch including a housing having an axis of rotation; a pressure plate mounted in the housing with freedom to move axially relative to the housing; a stored-energy element mounted in the housing and transmitting force along a path from the housing to the pressure plate; a wear-compensating device in the path of force transmission, which device has at least one adjusting element free to move in an adjusting direction to compensate for wear; and a clearance-producing arrangement having at least one gripping element, which is attached to the assembly upon which the stored-energy element acts via the wear-compensating device. The minimum of one gripping element has a blocking section, by means of which it can make blocking contact with a blocking element when wear occurs. The clearance-producing arrangement also includes an arresting element which can be shifted in an arresting direction when the gripping element comes into contact with the blocking element, thereby arresting the gripping element in the shifted position correlating with the amount of wear which has occurred. A transport-securing device prevents moving the adjusting element in the adjusting direction and/or moving the arresting element in the arresting direction prior to attaching the housing to the centrifugal mass.

Pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch

A pressure plate assembly includes a housing designed to be attached to a flywheel; a pressure plate mounted in the housing with freedom to move in a direction parallel to an axis of rotation; a stored-energy device; and a wear take-up device acting in the path of force transmission between the stored-energy device and the pressure plate, where the wear take-up device has at least one take-up element which can be moved in a take-up direction to compensate for wear. A play sensor arrangement includes a detection element provided on the pressure plate, which element, upon the occurrence of wear, makes contact or can be brought into contact with a blocking element, which is fixed in position with respect to the housing arrangement. The blocking element has a fastening area, by which it is fixed in position with respect to the housing arrangement, and a contact area, by which it makes contact with the detection element. The blocking element also has a support area so that the element can be supported with respect to the housing arrangement.

A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch, which assembly includes a housing; a pressure plate connected to the housing for rotation in common around an axis of rotation and which is free to move axially with respect to the housing; a stored-energy device, which pretensions the pressure plate in the axial direction with respect to the housing; a wear-compensating device which acts in the path of support between the stored-energy device and at least one of the housing and the pressure plate and comprises at least one wear-compensating element which is free to move when wear occurs and/or when wear is compensated; an indicator arrangement, comprising at least one indicator opening in the housing and at least one indicator element on a wear-compensating element. The indicator element at least partially fills at least one indicator opening in at least one state of wear; information concerning the amount of wear which has occurred can be derived from the position of the indicator element relative to the minimum of one indicator opening.

A housing arrangement for a friction clutch, especially for a multi-disk clutch, where the housing arrangement is designed approximately in the shape of a cup and is provided with a bottom area and an edge area for connection to a flywheel. At least one air through-opening is provided in the bottom area, each opening being bounded by a front edge and a rear edge with respect to the direction of rotation, the front edge being axially offset toward the interior of the housing with respect to said rear edge.

Housing arrangement for a friction clutch

A transport-securing arrangement for a pressure plate assembly of a multi-disk clutch including a housing arrangement connectable to a flywheel, a pressure plate coupled to the housing arrangement for common rotation therewith, a stored-energy device having one side supported on the housing arrangement and another side supported on the pressure plate arrangement. The pressure plate assembly also includes an intermediate plate connected to the housing arrangement for common rotation therewith and a first clutch disk with a friction surface area positioned between the pressure plate and the intermediate plate. The transport-securing arrangement comprises a plurality of connecting elements, preferably bolt elements, for tightly connecting the intermediate plate to the housing arrangement.

Transport-securing arrangement for a pressure plate assembly of a multi-disk clutch

A pressure plate assembly for a multi-disk clutch includes a housing arrangement, a pressure plate mounted in the housing arrangement with freedom to move in the same direction as an axis of rotation but connected to the housing with essentially no freedom of rotation and an intermediate plate mounted in the housing arrangement with freedom to move in the same direction as the axis of rotation but connected to the housing with essentially no freedom of rotation. A release distance preset arrangement for the intermediate plate includes at least one sensing element on the intermediate plate which rests on an assembly which shifts position during the performance of a releasing movement of the pressure plate. The at least one sensing element allows the intermediate plate to execute a releasing movement corresponding to the shift of this assembly. The at least one sensing element contacting the assembly is pretensioned by an intermediate plate release force-generating arrangement acting on the intermediate plate. At least one rotational coupling projection is arranged on either the intermediate plate or the housing arrangement which fits in a rotational coupling recess the other of the intermediate plate or the housing arrangement to produce a rotational coupling between the intermediate plate and the housing arrangement.

A thrust plate assembly for a motor vehicle friction clutch with automatic wear compensation includes a housing fixedly connectable to a flywheel for joint rotation with the flywheel about an axis of rotation, a pressure plate arranged in the housing such that the pressure plate is fixed with respect to rotation relative to the housing and axially displaceable relative to the housing, an energy accumulator such as a diaphragm spring having one side supported at the housing and another side supported at the pressure plate, and a wear adjustment device arranged in the support path of the energy accumulator between the energy accumulator and a component of the housing and pressure plate. The wear adjustment device has at least one adjustment element which is displaceable to compensate for wear and is operatively arranged for effecting wear compensation in proportion to the occurring wear. The ratio of movement of the wear adjustment device to the amount of occurring wear differs from 1:1.

Thrust plate assembly

An actuating installation for a friction clutch arranged in the drive line between a drive unit and a transmission. The installation having an actuating arrangement for the actuation of the friction clutch and a clutch-pedal arrangement, which is connected to the actuating arrangement and has a clutch pedal, which, in a first operating state, is actuable according to a force-travel characteristic of a first type. The actuating installation has a signaling and/or protection device, which is in operative connection with or is operatively integrated in the clutch-pedal arrangement, so that, after the response of the signaling and/or protection device to a second operating state, the clutch pedal can be actuated only according to a force/travel characteristic of a second type, which differs significantly from the force/travel characteristic of the first type in order thus to indicate the second operating state.

Actuating installation for pneumatic clutch actuation with overload protection and/or incorrect-operation protection

An actuating device for a friction clutch arranged in the drive train of an automobile between an internal combustion engine and a gear in a casing bell. The actuating device includes a disengagement bearing arrangement and a positioning servo arrangement, having a pressure-medium power cylinder arrangement, for the disengagement bearing arrangement, the positioning servo arrangement having a control valve connected to a pressure-medium source. The control valve includes a valve arrangement which can be changed over between at least two control states as a function of an actual value representing the axial position of the disengagement bearing arrangement and of a command variable representing a desired position of the disengagement bearing arrangement. In a first controlled state, there is a pressure-medium connection between the pressure-medium power cylinder arrangement and the pressure-medium source, and, in a second control state, there is a pressure-medium connection between the pressure-medium power cylinder arrangement and a pressure equalizing orifice. The valve arrangement includes two valve elements movable relative to one another and relative to a valve housing. The command variable is represented by the position of a first of the two valve elements and the actual value by the position of a second of the two valve elements relative to the valve housing, and a difference quantity assigned to the actual value and to the command variable is represented by the position of the two valve elements relative to one another.

Actuating device for the actuation, in particular pneumatic actuation of a friction clutch

A release mechanism for a motor vehicle friction clutch for cooperation with a motor vehicle transmission having subdivided switching steps. The mechanism includes a release member displaceable by a compressed air for carrying out a clutch release process, a valve arrangement for selectively supplying the compressed air, and a measurement arrangement for detecting an actual release position of the release member. The valve arrangement carries out the application of pressure fluid to the release member in accordance with (1) a reference variable provided by an actuation arrangement and which represents a reference release position of the release member, and (2) the detected actual release position. The measurement arrangement is so constructed that when the detected actual release position exceeds a predetermined switching threshold release position, a shifting signal is provided for shifting the transmission in subdivided switching steps.
