A medicament delivery device is presented for administering a therapeutic substance from a multi-chamber cartridge. The medicament delivery device performs a mixing process to create the therapeutic substance for delivery within the multi-chambered cartridge, where the delivery device includes a distal part comprising a dose setting mechanism having a housing, a dose setting knob, an injection button, a piston rod capable of moving axially along the longitudinal axis of the housing during dose delivery, and a return ring configured to reset the piston rod to a starting position. The delivery device also includes a proximal part comprising a cartridge holder configured to accept a multi-chambered cartridge, where the cartridge holder comprises a screw driven sleeve configured for attachment to the distal part and where rotation of the screw driven sleeve performs a medicament mixing process within the multi-chambered cartridge.

An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism is presented where the dose setting mechanism contains a dose selector having one or more dose stops corresponding to a finite set of predetermined fixed doses, where the set of finite predetermined fixed doses includes a lowest fixed dose and one or more higher fixed doses, and where at least one of the one or more higher fixed doses is equal to the lowest fixed dose plus a fractional amount of the lowest fixed dose. The dose setting mechanism can further include a floating spline that is rotationally engaged with a snap element such that the snap element can rotate relative to the floating spline during both dose setting and dose delivery.

Injection device with flexible dose selection

A dose setting mechanism is provided that includes a dose knob, a dose selector, a radial projecting rib and a snap element. The radial projecting rib is positioned circumferentially on an inside surface of the dose selector. The snap element includes a protrusion. The protruding rib has a reduced section that allows the protruding rib to move axially relative to the protrusion to initiate dose delivery.

A medicament delivery device for a mixing process to create a therapeutic substance for delivery within a multi-chambered cartridge, the delivery device includes a distal part with a dose setting mechanism having a housing, a dose setting knob, an injection button, a piston rod capable of moving axially along the longitudinal axis of the housing during dose delivery, and a return ring configured to reset the piston rod to a starting position. The delivery device also includes a proximal part including a cartridge holder configured to accept a multi-chambered cartridge, the cartridge holder including a screw driven sleeve configured for attachment to the distal part and rotation of the screw driven sleeve performing a medicament mixing process within the multi-chambered cartridge.

An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism is presented where the dose setting mechanism contains a fail safe feature that activates during an interrupted dose delivery event. A dose selector having a projecting rib engages a protrusion on a snap element to prevent the dose knob from moving distally if a user removes an axial force in the proximal direction during dose delivery. The dose setting mechanism can further include a reuse prevention feature.

An injection device includes a housing, a dosing member held so as to be rotatable and fixed in the housing and an injection sleeve held so as to be rotationally fixed in relation to the housing and displaceable therein. A latching unit of the injection device is configured to act between two components thereof which, during setting of an amount of injection fluid to be dispensed, move relative to one another. A set amount of injection fluid is unequivocally assigned to each relative position of the two components.

Injection device

An injection device is for automatically squeezing injection liquid from a container and includes: a housing; an injection spring configured to cause squeezing of the injection liquid from the container; the injection device defining a longitudinal central axis and a proximal direction; a metering piston mounted so as to be movable in the direction of the longitudinal central axis of the injection device; the metering piston being configured to, when squeezing injection liquid, move in the proximal direction; a setting device for setting the quantity of injection liquid to be squeezed; an end stop which establishes a terminal position of the metering piston; and, the setting device having an adjustment unit configured to adjust the position of the end stop.

An injection device includes a housing; a receptacle for injection fluid; a dosing piston to press out the injection fluid; a feed part connected to the dosing piston via a first threaded connection; a slide having a thread of a second threaded connection; and, a setting part having a thread of a third threaded connection and configured to set an amount of injection fluid to be dispensed. The setting part moves in the distal direction by virtue of the third threaded connection when the amount of injection fluid to be dispensed is being set. The setting part can move in the proximal direction when the injection fluid is pressed out. A latching unit defines a latching position of the setting part and acts between the setting part and housing. Each latching position has an unequivocal rotational position of the setting part in relation to the housing assigned thereto.

An injection device has a housing and a metering member held rotatably in the housing and fixed in the direction of a longitudinal central axis. The metering member via a threaded connection is connected to a sleeve held rotationally fixed in relation to the housing and displaceable in the direction of the axis. When setting a dosage, the metering member rotates relative to the housing, and the sleeve moves distally. When dispensing a set dosage, the sleeve moves in the proximal direction, and the metering member by virtue of the threaded connection rotates in the opposite direction. To enable an automatic injection, the device has a spring supported in relation to the injection sleeve via a first end and in relation to the housing via a second end; the spring, when squeezing out liquid, moves the sleeve proximally and on account thereof causes the set dosage to be dispensed.

An injection device includes: a housing defining a longitudinal axis; an operating element; a metering member held in the housing so as to be rotatable and fixed in the direction of the axis; the operating element, in a first position for setting a quantity to be dispensed, being mounted so as to be rotatable relative to the housing and rotationally fixedly connected to the metering member via a first coupling; the operating element, in a second position for dispensing, being rotationally fixedly connected to the housing via a second coupling and being rotatable in relation to the metering member; a first latching installation acting between operating element and housing, wherein the first latching installation is effective only in the operating element's first position; and, a second latching installation acting between operating element and metering member, wherein the second latching installation is effective only in the operating element's second position.

An injection device for automatically squeezing out a dosage of injection liquid from a container. The injection device including a housing defining a longitudinal central axis; a first component; a second component; wherein the first and second component move relative to one another when the liquid is squeezed out; a spring configured to at least partially release stored energy to squeeze out the dosage; a setting device to set a rate at which the liquid is squeezed out; the setting device influencing the energy required for moving the second component relative to the first; the first component, when squeezing out liquid, is guided in the housing so as to be movable in the direction of the axis and to be rotationally fixed; and, the second component, when squeezing out liquid, is mounted relative to the housing so as to be rotatable and rotationally fixed in the direction of the axis.
