A battery cell. The battery cell incluedes a first terminal contact and a second terminal contact, an energy storage unit, a first transistor, a sensor system that is set up to acquire a state parameter of the battery cell, and a control circuit. A first pole of the energy storage unit is coupled to the first terminal contact, and a second pole of the energy storage unit is coupled to the second terminal contact. The first transistor is connected between the first terminal contact and the second terminal contact in series with the energy storage unit. The he control circuit is set up to control a switching process of the first transistor, the control circuit controlling the first transistor based on the acquired state parameter in order to control a charge current or a discharge current of the energy storage unit.

Battery cell with an integrated control circuit

A battery system for a motor vehicle. The battery system includes an actuating unit, a main control unit, multiple sub-control units, and multiple battery cells. The actuating unit is in signal communication with the sub-control units for data acquisition from the sub-control units. Each sub-control unit is in signal communication with a battery cell for data acquisition from the assigned battery cell. The main control unit is electrically connected to the sub-control units supplying power to the sub-control units. A method for operating a battery system is also described.

At least two battery cells of the battery are electrically connected and thus added to the at least one component via at least one particular switching unit. The following steps for precharging a DC link of the vehicle is carried out: a) adding a first of the battery cells, b) incrementally adding at least a second of the battery cells, after a previous adding has taken place in each case.

A driver circuit for switching edge modulation of a power switch. The driver circuit includes a first driver circuit input including a downstream input node, and a power switch including an upstream first gate node. A charging path including a charging resistor is situated between the input node and the first gate node. A discharging path including a discharging resistor is situated between the input node and the first gate node. A gate path is situated between the input node and the first gate node. A power switch transistor, whose gate is connected to the first gate node, is provided. A gate path includes a gate resistor. The driver circuit is configured so that, during a switching process of the power switch, the gate path is temporarily short-circuited either via the charging path or the discharging path, to increase the slope of the switching behavior of the power switch.

Driver circuit for switching edge modulation of a power switch

A power-switch-system (PSS) having a low-side transistor (LSS) and a high-side transistor (HSS), which are switchable to be conductive or switched to be blocking in respectively alternating time-segments of a switching-period of the PSS. A source-terminal of the LSS is connected to a load-terminal, and a drain-terminal of the LSS is connected to a supply-voltage via a storage-inductor. A drain-terminal of the HSS is connected to the load-terminal, and a source-terminal of the HSS is connected to the supply-voltage via the storage-inductor. Provided is a PSS of this kind, the LSS having at least two transistor-segments. At least two of the transistor-segments have a different electrical resistance in the connection to the storage-inductor. The PSS provides that at least two of the transistor-segments are switched at a different point in time during a switching operation of the PSS to reduce unwanted voltage fluctuations, without markedly increasing switching losses.

Power switch system

A MOS component includes a source area, a drain area, a body area, a channel area, and a gate element, the channel area and the gate element being electrically insulated with respect to one another by a total of at least three individual layers in the form of a first individual layer, a second individual layer, and a third individual layer. The second individual layer is designed in such a way that it may permanently store electric charges. The third individual layer, which is situated between the channel area and the second individual layer, has a greater equivalent oxide thickness than the first individual layer situated between the second individual layer and the gate element.

MOS component, electric circuit, and battery unit for a motor vehicle

An overload monitoring device for an electrical system including a measuring device for current and/or voltage, a time measuring device and an evaluation device connected to the measuring device and the time measuring device being provided, the evaluation device being designed for generating parameters from measured values of the measuring device and/or for detecting an overload situation based on the measured values and/or the parameters using time data of the time measuring device. A method for overload monitoring of an electrical system is also described, measured values being determined for a current and/or a voltage of the electrical system; time data being determined; parameters based on the measured values being generated; and an overload situation being detected based on the measured values and/or the parameters using the time data.

A power module for an electric motor has at least one semiconductor switch half bridge with a high-side semiconductor switch and a low-side semiconductor switch. The semiconductor switches of the semiconductor switch half bridge have contact gap terminals which are each formed by a flat surface region of the semiconductor switch and which each point in the same direction. The high-side semiconductor switch and the low-side semiconductor switch enclose between them a circuit carrier that has at least two electrically conductive layers. A contact gap terminal of the low-side semiconductor switch and a contact gap terminal of the high-side semiconductor switch of the half bridge are electrically connected to each other by the circuit carrier.

A control for an electrical consumer includes a first switching device for connecting an output for the consumer to a first potential, a second switching device for connecting the output to a second potential, a control device for activating the switching devices, a first scanning device for providing a first signal as a function of a switching state of the first switching device, a second scanning device for providing a second signal as a function of a switching state of the second switching device, and a comparator device for determining a difference in the switch-on times of the switching devices on the basis of the determined signals.

Control of a half-bridge

An electrical circuit device includes a semiconductor component which has power terminals and a control terminal electrically insulated from the power terminals, for applying a control voltage, and a control terminal contact surface for contacting the control terminal for measuring the electrical behavior of the semiconductor component. A connection device is provided, via which the control terminal is electrically connectable to a series device, the connection device being transferable from a nonconductive state into a conductive state, in which the control terminal is connected to the series device.

A method and a circuit system for operating an electric machine are presented. The method is carried out in particular in a starting phase, a current being limited using a controllable resistor, the controllable resistor being implemented by at least one semiconductor switch, which is controlled using a clocked signal, and the signal being set in such a way that in shutdown phases, the at least one semiconductor switch is not completely shut down.

A power switch component having a semiconductor switch and a contacting applied to a contact zone of the semiconductor switch is introduced. The contact zone has a semiconductor layer and a metal plating applied to the semiconductor layer. The semiconductor layer has at least one conducting region and at least one non-conducting region situated directly under the metal plating.
