A detector arrangement, for selective detection of vibrations on a component, comprises a film fitted with at least one piezoelectric element. The film is attached to the component in such a way that occurring mechanical vibrations act on the piezoelectric element, such that an electrical charge with a frequency correlating with the mechanical vibration is generated at the connection electrodes of the piezoelectric element. An electrical filter is connected to the piezoelectric element and filters out the component of the supplied charge which corresponds to a predefined frequency. An electrical charge storage means which is connected to the filter is used to accumulate the filtered-out charge components. A signaling means is also provided, which generates an electrical signal as soon as a predetermined charge limit value is reached on the charge storage means.

The sealing element has a sealing composed of an elastic material, at least one support element composed of a rigid material, an IC identification, and an antenna for the IC identification. The at least one support element is formed from a non-metallic material such that the sealing element remains sufficiently stable mechanically and the operation of the antenna suffers little interference.

A method for detection and quantitative evaluation of a balance error occurring in a component-bearing system. Static and dynamic forces acting upon the bearing are determined by sensors of a measuring bridge, which are disposed on a rolling bearing and which change the inherent electrical resistance according to the applied pressure, and are made available for analysis in a computer in the form of a periodic test signal that is common to both forces. In order to analyze the test signal, the weighted average of the modulation frequency generated by a balance error and the weighted mean variance thereof are determined from the test signal. The variance is then compared with a given variance threshold value. A variance lying below the variance threshold value is considered to be an indication of a significant balance error in the bearing.

The invention relates to a data capture system and to a processing system () for a roller bearing, wherein at least one sensor element (), conductor strips () and electronic components () are arranged adjacent to a flexible carrier material (). A meter bearing with a recess located at the periphery of at least one of the bearing rings. Expansion-measuring strips are disposed in the recess and conducting paths and electronic modules are arranged on a supporting material and evaluate and transmit the output signals of the expansion-measuring strips. The expansion-measuring strips are connected to the electrical conducting paths which extend to the electronic modules. In order to reduce the space required for such a measuring and evaluation system in a meter bearing, the expansion-measuring strips are placed below and/or above the radial plane of the supporting material and of the conductor paths and electronic modules located thereupon.

The invention relates to a method for measuring mechanical stresses of a rotating part () in an essentially closed metal housing. The rotating part comprises a sensor () which reflects electromagnetic waves and which can be measurably deformed as a result of a mechanical stress exerted on said rotating part () The two antennas (A, A) receiving the reflected signals of the sensor () are arranged in the bearing housing () in such a way that they cannot rotate in relation to the sensor and are distanced (&#x3b1;). Said antennas emit receiving signals (a,a) which are sent to an electronic evaluation system () which measures the mechanical stresses of the rotating part () on the basis of both receiving signals (a,a).

Contactless measurement of the stress of rotating parts

A rolling bearing which has as rolling bearing components one bearing race with a first running surface, a second bearing race with a second running surface opposed to the first surface, and rolling elements arranged between the running surfaces. At least one sensing unit is integrated into the rolling bearing components. The sensing unit can be interrogated by radio via antennas or can be connected to an interrogator by a cable. The sensing unit uses at least one component operating on the SAW or BAW principle to sense changes in length and/or changes in temperature in the material of the rolling bearing component and sends the result of the measurement after the arrival of a radio signal via the antenna or via a cable.
