Vehicle electrical system and method for protecting a vehicle electrical system

A plug connection has a plug socket and a plug which can be releasably inserted therein, as well as a plurality of electrically conductive contact areas and spring contacts. The spring contacts are divided into a first group and a second group. In a first state, the spring contacts of the first group are in contact with their associated contact areas and the spring contacts of the second groups rest on at least one stop and are not in contact with their associated contact areas. A trigger causes the spring contacts of the second group to overcome the at least one stop when a defined temperature is exceeded so as to come into contact with their associated contact areas in a second state.

A hybrid vehicle has an internal combustion engine, at least two electric motors, at least four wheels, a first axle and at least a second axle. Two of the wheels are associated with each axle. The internal combustion engine is provided for driving the wheels of the first axle, and the two electric motors are provided for driving respective wheels of the second axle.

The following steps are executed: transmitting driving route data that characterize a scheduled driving route for an upcoming journey of the vehicle to a central database device; receiving operating strategy data from the central database device, which data characterize a proposed geo-referenced global operating strategy profile defined with respect to the driving route for the operation of the vehicle during its journey on the driving route; sensor-based acquisition of operating data that characterize an operating status and/or a driving situation of the vehicle during its journey on the driving route, and determining a local operating strategy profile for the operation of the vehicle during its continued journey on the driving route on the basis of the acquired operating data; specification of an operating strategy profile to be applied for the operation of the vehicle on the basis of the global operating strategy profile and the local operating strategy profile; and application of the specified operating strategy profile for the operation of the vehicle on the driving route.

A supply rail for a vehicle includes a first busbar which is designed to provide electrical energy with a first supply voltage for supplying energy to a large number of electrical modules of the vehicle. In this case, the electrical modules of the large number of electrical modules are arranged at different points of the vehicle. The supply rail includes means for data transmission designed to allow data interchange between at least two of the large number of electrical modules. The supply rail has a large number of slots for the large number of electrical modules, wherein a first slot of the large number of slots is designed to connect a first electrical module of the large number of electrical modules to the first busbar and to the means for data transmission by way of a first plug connection. The supply rail includes a temperature-control duct which is designed to conduct a thermally conductive medium past the large number of electrical modules.

A device for balancing an energy accumulator, especially an energy accumulator in an on-board power supply system of a motor vehicle, is provided. The energy accumulator is formed by a cell assembly of a serial connection of a plurality of cell groups, respective balancing circuits being connected to voltage connections of respective cell groups and comprising a discharge resistor. The discharge resistor of a respective balancing circuit has a temperature-dependent resistance characteristic, and the discharge resistors of at least some of the balancing circuits are thermally intercoupled.

For the first characteristic value, a suitable first group of optimizing variables is determined. A first group of command variables suitable for the first group of optimizing variables is determined. For the first group of command variables, a first group of current boundary values is determined. For each boundary value of the first group of current boundary values, a prediction is made to obtain a first group of predicted boundary values. A probability is assigned to each predicted boundary value of the first group of predicted boundary values to obtain a first group of predicted, probability-related boundary values. All boundary values of the first group of current boundary values and of the first group of predicted, probability-related boundary values are prioritized in order to obtain prioritized boundary values. The prioritized boundary values are used to calculate at least one control value with which the system may be controlled.

A control unit for operating a motor vehicle includes a basic module and a function module, which is constructed in a secured run-time environment. The control unit includes predefined first and second interfaces, which each couple the basic module and the function module. The basic module is designed for determining one or more function input quantities, depending on at least one operating quantity, and for providing the function input quantities at the first interface. The basic module is further designed for determining control variables of the actuators, depending on one or more output quantities, which are provided at the second interface. The function module is designed for determining the one or more output quantities, depending on the function input quantities provided t the first interface and a predefined quantity of rules, which output quantities characterize an operating strategy from a quantity of predefined operating strategies, and for providing the output quantities at the second interface.

Control unit for operating a motor vehicle

A motor assembly for a motor vehicle includes an internal combustion engine that has an exhaust gas purification device and a heat engine. The heat engine has at least one closed working space that is filled with a gas. The at least one closed working space includes first and second cylinders, which are each movably mounted in the longitudinal direction between initial and expansion positions. The heat engine includes at least one heating unit for heating the gas in at least one heating region of the closed working space and at least one cooling unit for cooling the gas in at least one cooling region of the closed working space. The gas heated in the heating region pushes the first piston from its initial position into its expansion position, and then flows through the overflow line into the cooling region such that the second piston is then pushed into its expansion position. The overflow line leads at least in sections through the exhaust gas purification device.

In the case of a multi-voltage on-board power supply system for a motor vehicle having a hybrid or electric drive, comprising a dc-dc converter, by means of which a high voltage level having a higher direct-current voltage and at least a first energy storage device is connected to a low voltage level having a lower voltage and at least a second energy storage device, wherein the system comprises a charging interface for charging external devices, at least one converter phase of the dc-dc converter can be disconnected from the low voltage level and instead can be connected with the charging interface, and a third energy storage device can be connected to the charging interface in order to supply the third energy storage device with a lower voltage and permit a charging of the third energy storage device by the energy flow from the first energy storage device.

A vehicle with an internal combustion engine, with a physical onboard power supply system and with at least one electrical energy source, wherein electrical consumers are integrated in the physical onboard power supply system and the physical onboard power supply system comprises a switchable terminal, wherein, when the terminalis actuated and the internal combustion engine is switched off or when the internal combustion engine is running at a low rotational speed, each of the electrical consumers is assignable by a control device to either a first group of electrical consumers or a second group of electrical consumers, an electrical consumer of the first group is at least partly able to be switched on and off by a user, an electrical consumer of the second group cannot be switched by the user, and an electrical consumer which is switched on at least partly can be supplied with electrical power from the at least one electrical energy source.

Vehicle having electrical consumers integrated with a physical onboard power supply system

An energy storage system supplies electric energy to consuming devices in a vehicle, particularly in a motor vehicle. The system includes a first power grid having a first energy accumulator and a second power grid having a second energy accumulator, the first and second power grids being electrically coupled such that electric energy from the first power grid is feedable to the second power grid for regenerating the second energy accumulator. The energy storage system is operatively configured such that it is detected when a number of conditions has been met, the number of conditions including at least that an external charging device is connected to the first power grid for charging the first energy accumulator. In the event that the number of conditions has been met, regeneration of the second energy accumulator is carried out.

Energy storage system for supplying electrical energy to consumers in a vehicle

At least one weighting value is determined in a manner that is influenced by a vehicle user. A maximum released power, which a predefined electrical consumer of the motor vehicle may consume, is determined as a function of the weighting value. The power consumption of the electrical consumer is controlled as a function of the maximum power that is released.
