A device for longitudinally adjusting a seat may have two mutually spaced rail pairs and at least one locking element. The rail pairs are each formed by an upper rail and a lower rail which are movable in relation to one another. The at least one locking element is movably mounted on the upper rail in a spring-loaded manner and, in a locking position, blocks a movement of the upper rail in the lower rail and, in an unlocking position, releases the movement. An undesired movement of the locking element out of the locking position is at least limited or blocked by a blocking element. A seat may have the device longitudinally adjusting a seat.

A longitudinal adjusting device for the motorized longitudinal adjustment of a motor vehicle seat may have a first rail and a second rail. The device may also have a spindle gearbox, a spindle cooperating with the spindle gearbox for the longitudinal adjustment, and a mount for receiving the spindle gearbox. The spindle gearbox may be at least partly held in the inner channel so as to be fixed relative to the first rail. Laterally projecting protrusions of the holding legs of the mount, which legs may be each arranged in front of and behind the spindle gearbox in the longitudinal direction, engage through lateral openings in the first rail. An abutment device having a contact section may be arranged in the region of the lateral openings. The contact section contacts the holding leg arranged in the particular opening. A vehicle seat with the device is also provided.

A seat rail pair for a vehicle seat is disclosed. The seat rail pair may have a lower rail and an upper rail. The upper rail may be moved relative to the lower rail via mutually engaged profiles. The lower rail may have a substantially C-shaped profile and the upper rail may have a substantially U-shaped profile. Roller members may be arranged between the upper rail and the lower rail to facilitate relative movement.

A seat length adjuster for a vehicle seat may have two rail pairs, each pair formed by an upper rail and a lower rail. The upper rail is provided with openings and the lower rail has through holes. At least one spring-loaded, movable locking member may be provided. The locking member carries toothlike protrusions on its two opposite lengthwise sides, which are movable from a released position into the locked position both into the openings and into the through holes. The openings and/or the through holes have contact regions for the toothlike protrusions of the locking member and at least some of the toothlike protrusions have a respective undercut on both tooth flanks. In the locked position a projecting edge resulting from this on the respective tooth flank lies opposite the contact region and/or touches this contact region.

A vehicle seat longitudinal adjuster () includes a seat track pair () with a lower seat track () and an upper seat track () that mutually engage one another for guided relative and longitudinal direction (x) movement. The lower seat track () has a substantially C-shaped profile () with sections () that are bent downward at the ends. The upper seat track () has a substantially U-shaped profile () with end sections () that are bent upward; the relative displaceability of the two seat tracks () with respect to one another is limited by means of an interaction of an end stop () disposed on the lower seat track () with a stop element () disposed on the upper seat track (), and wherein the end stop () is designed in the form of an extension of part of the downward bent sections () and the lower seat track () comprises a slotted hole () in the region of the end stop ().

The invention relates to a longitudinal seat adjustment system for seats, comprising two pairs of rails ( ) which are set apart from each other. Said pairs of rails each consist of two U-shaped rails, an upper rail ( ) and a lower rail ( ). A locking device for vehicle seats, in particular motor vehicle seats, includes two mutually displaceable parts. A rail, associated to one of the parts, extends in the direction of displacement and has at least one row of snap-in holes extending longitudinally along the rail. These holes are separated from each other by web-like material sections. Ratchets, associated to the other part, can move in relation to the rail between a disengaging position and a locking position. They move perpendicularly to the direction of extension of the rail, and are controlled via an operating mechanism. When the mutually displaceable parts are in locked position, at least one of the ratchets engages in a corresponding snap-in hole. At least one retaining element prevents involuntary disengaging of the ratchet from an effective locking position. As a result, reliable locking is achieved, in particular in the event of a crash, which entails high frequency vibrational fractions.

Locking device for vehicle seats, in particular motor vehicle seats

A longitudinal adjusting device on a motor vehicle seat having a seat back adjustable relative to the seat part and forwardly foldable after releasing an arresting device, has movable rails on which the seat is fastened. The moveable rails can slide in guide rails attached to the vehicle. One movable rail has a locking device that releasably locks the moveable rail on the guide rail. The locking device has a positioning device for returning the seat to its previous longitudinal position. The positioning device has a positioning disc with locking teeth and an arresting lever with a toothed segment engaging the locking teeth. The arresting lever can be released from the locking teeth to allow rotation of the positioning disc during longitudinal adjustment of the seat. A spring-loaded winding drum is arranged coaxially to the positioning disc and allows the seat part to slide forward by a tension member attached to the seat part or the guide rail.
