An electric machine includes a first circuit through which a first working fluid can flow and a second circuit through which a second working fluid can flow. The first circuit and the second circuit are formed hermetically. In order to cool the electric machine particularly well, the first circuit and the second circuit have a common heat exchanger surface which is constructed in such a way that thermal energy from the first working fluid of the first circuit can be transmitted to the second working fluid of the second circuit or vice versa from the second working fluid to the first working fluid by way of the heat exchanger surface. A method for cooling an electric machine and a motor vehicle having an electric machine are also provided.

In order to reduce data traffic in a network, a master node sends master data to at least one checking instance. The master data are checked by the checking instance. In the absence of errors, either the master data or slave data determined by the slave node are sent by the checking instance to the data-processing unit. When an error is recognized, all master data and slave data available at the checking instance are sent by the checking instance to the data-processing unit.

A system and a method are provided for addressing at least two subscribers that are redundant in respect of each other in a communication network. The subscribers are each permanently assigned a unique address which is different for each subscriber. The subscribers form a group such that the subscribers in the group are redundant in respect to each other. The group of subscribers is assigned a unique group address which is only activate for one of the subscribers in the group and de-active for each of the remaining subscribers in the group. At least one higher-order unit is provided for the activation and deactivation.

Several tools are included in an object processing system that also includes a common object model containing a data structure and an administrative program for the data structure. Method and a system for transmitting data in a switchable data network. To improve the transmission of data having different priorities in the switchable data network, telegrams are assigned priorities, with said telegrams (-) in each case having a beginning and an end. Data telegrams assigned a first priority are sent during a first phase from first users to second users, with the first phase being characterized by a defined receive time of the end of one or more of the data telegram at one or more second users.

The invention relates to a system and method called autotopology of a network or advertising based network management which enables the analysis and automatic graphical and hierarchical representation of any hierarchical or flat network topology, especially a switched Ethernet (SE). The autotopology can be used for self-configured networks (for example by using zeroconf) and for any otherwise configured networks, especially using DHCP or manually configured networks. The use of zeroconf is called autoconfiguration. Autoconfiguration and autotopology enable a comfortable and safe administration of a network. Administration of a self-configured network using the autotopology data proceeds in a separate and low-priority sub-network (link local) so that the productive operation of the network remains undisturbed. The topology of the network is used as a clear possibility of administering a network. Administration of the network is possible immediately after determination of the topology.

The computer can access, via an interface, a search machine stored in the automation installation. The search machine selects the information available in the automation installation according to at least one criterion defines by an alphanumeric character string.
