A cleaning apparatus is provided for a preferably planar surface, in particular a window pane, and has a wiping device and a plunger which keeps the wiping device in contact with the surface and also, by way of an open side, bears against the surface and seals it around the edge. A suction device generates a negative pressure in the plunger. The plunger is provided with driving rollers, which are actuated by motor, for moving the plunger together with the wiping device. The suction device has at least two fans which are each provided with their own outlet opening.

Cleaning apparatus for a preferably planar surface

A device for drying and/or wetting a mop with a removable container for receiving a liquid. The device has a receiver for the container with a collecting base which is located underneath the container when the container is disposed in the receiver, and the device has liquid conveying devices for removing or feeding the liquid. A device for wringing moisture from a mop includes pressure elements between which a holder of the mop, together with a mop cover attached thereto, can be pressed. The mop cover projects beyond the holder, thereby forming a cushion at edges of the holder in order to prevent the holder from doing damage, for example to furniture. In order to be able to wring moisture in a defined manner from both the projecting edge of the mop cover as well as the portion thereof covered by the holder, the two interacting pressure elements form a gap having a height which decreases toward the edges. In particular, the height decreases in a gradual manner. The pressure elements are preferably rollers, several cylinder sections of which can have different diameters in order to be able to obtain gap sections of different heights.

A mop has a holder for attaching a mop covering. The holder is composed of an at least substantially rigid core and of a flexible edge lining that is placed along a part or all of the edge of the flat core, and/or the mop covering projects beyond the holder on at least one portion of the periphery of the holder. The core is preferably encapsulated with the material of the edge lining by injection molding in order to achieve an improved joining and the provision of a small gap between the core and the edge lining.

To cook eggs without eggshells by heat radiation with no risk that the eggs are burnt on their surface by the heat radiation, an egg cooker includes a shield disposed between the egg(s) to be cooked and the heat radiation source and is not connected to the egg(s) to be cooked. Thus, the egg(s) can also be cooked in a form resembling a fried egg. Advantageously, the eggs are cooked in receptacles of a preparation dish, the shield exposing regions of the preparation dish between the receptacles to direct heat radiation. The heat absorbed at the preparation dish can be transmitted to the egg(s) through a heat-conducting connection between the preparation dish and the receptacles to accelerate the cooking process.

To smooth items of clothing, especially shirts, by an inflatable bag, the item of clothing, especially in a damp state, is placed on the inflatable bag, is pulled taut by the inflation of the bag, and is dried by heat. To this end, the inflatable bag is inflated with heated air, certain areas of the item of clothing drying faster than others however. To supply heat energy in a targeted manner to individual, especially slow-drying areas, the inflatable bag includes heating bodies either supplying additional heat for drying the item of clothing, or all of the heat. Advantageously, the heating bodies are applied to the material of inflatable bag.

Appliance for the smoothing of shirts

A method and device for pressing items of clothing&#x2014;in particular, shirts, blouses and jackets&#x2014;includes a pressing dummy with an inflatable bag. At least a region of the inflatable bag extends into the neck, collar, or lower hem regions of the clothing. At the end of such region is disposed an air diverter for drying adjacent surfaces of the clothing item. The air diverter is connected to the inflatable bag as far as air supply is concerned. Should the airflow be weak or non-existent, then the air diverter&#x2014;at least partly&#x2014;retracts into the piece of clothing. Should the airflow be active, however, then the air diverter extends and takes on the form of a mushroom head. In such a form, the air diverter is in the working position thereof and, thus, ventilates the adjacent region of the piece of clothing from the underside of the mushroom head.

A shirt-shaped inflatable body for pressing shirts and on which the shirt is stretched flat includes lateral cavities, which are inflated by an increased pressure, in the sides of the trunk section of the inflatable body. The cavities are supported by a frame located inside the inflatable body and press the trunk section outwards, forming a flat shape. The pressure in the lateral chambers located inside the casing of the inflatable body is increased by the fact that both the casing of the lateral chambers and the casing of the inflatable body are permeable to air and that the lateral chambers are directly supplied with air by a fan, whereas the remaining areas of the inflatable body are only inflated with the air that flows through the casing of the lateral chambers against a flow resistance.
