The invention concerns a procedure for correction of error of speed and mechanical related error, particularly in the thickness of a fiber band in a textile machine, especially stretch machines. The purpose of the invention lies in the correction of the speed related errors in measurement signals from an instrument of the textile machine. This purpose is achieved by each measurement value generating a respective corresponding inverse and speed related correction value. By means of this correction value, each measurement value can be correspondingly and individually corrected.

Process to ensure precise autolevelling for the drafting of a fiber

A process for improving the regulation of a draw frame wherein measuring signals indicating thickness of a fiber sliver are detected at the input and output of the draw frame by measuring elements and processed by the regulating system of the draw frame comprising interfacing a fuzzy controller with the regulating system of the draw frame. The measuring signals indicating the thickness of the fiber sliver are inputted into the fuzzy controller. Various influencing factors which are not compensated for by the regulating system are also inputted into the fuzzy controller, the influencing factors having an effect on the measuring signals. The influencing factors are linked and weighted with respect to the measuring signals in the fuzzy controller in accordance with fuzzy inference rules based on empirical data established in the fuzzy controller. A measuring signal value is formed in the fuzzy controller based on the length and influencing factors and this correction value is applied on line to the regulating system of the draw frame before the measuring signal is processed by the regulating system beyond the element in the regulating system which generated the measuring signal.

Process and device for the regulation of a drawing frame

The yarn (31) is fed substantially tangentially from a feed station (30) to the feed end (101) of an accumulator roller (10) of a yarn accumulator (1), drivable by a rotary drive means (120). The yarn is dischargeable from an exit end (103) of this accumulator roller (10) counter to the action of a restraining element (14) through a yarn guide means (4) arranged in prolongation of the axis (122) of the accumulator roller. The restraining element (14) is of radially outwardly open construction and is formed by a yarn restraining ring drivable relative to the accumulator roller (10). The ring includes a radially outwardly open yarn restrainer (141). The yarn guide means (4) consists of two mutually separable yarn guide components (40, 41) and is constructed as a yarn conveyor which deflects the yarn (31) out of a prescribed yarn path (32) into a yarn path intersecting the path of the revolving yarn restrainer (141). In order to measure the yarn length accumulated on the accumulator roller (10), the yarn-revolution monitoring-device (50) and a device (23) to determine the yarn rotation direction are associated with the accumulator roller (10), both of which are associated for control with an impulse counter (5). This impulse counter (5) is switchable from forward counting to backward counting or vice versa as a function of a change in the yarn rotation direction.

A method and apparatus for opening and mixing the fibers from a plurality of bales according to a predetermined mixture. The device includes tongs-like gripper means which press into the fiber bales for removing fibers therefrom. A measuring means and a control means determine the width of opening of the gripper means. A control circuit is provided for receiving a signal representing the weight of the first pick-up from a particular bale and the weight of the fibers deposited in a receiver container. When the sum of these signals is equal to the preset desired weight of the fibers that are to be deposited in the receiver container, a compared signal is produced causing the tongs on successive pick-ups to be opened to a lesser degree. As a result, a high degree of accuracy is obtained when mixing to a predetermined ratio while maintaining a high production output.

A method an apparatus for opening and mixing the fibers from a plurality of bales according to a predetermined mixture. A control mechanism for use on an open-end spinning machine provided with a sensor which senses tension in yarn being produced and a switching mechanism for interrupting a fiber feed device responsive to the sensor sensing a drop in yarn tension. The switching mechanism includes a switch-on member 3 and a main switch member 4 that is switched on upon actuation of the switch-on member for putting the sensor 10 and fiber feed device out of service. A switch-off member 5 is provided for switching off the main switch member 4 for putting the sensor and the fiber feed device 60 back into service.
