A motor drive with devices for translating the rotary movement of an output shaft () into a reciprocating linear movement, preferably for driving a reciprocating transporting device (). The latter comprises catches (), which engage in one direction and not in the other direction, in order to transport a receptacle () for items for washing. The transporting device comprises an articulated transporting frame (), of which the transporting rails () can be moved in opposite directions to one another.
