The invention relates to an injector for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, particularly in a motor vehicle, with an injector body which has a pressure booster section and a needle section. At least one injection hole is provided in the needle section. A nozzle needle which has an adjustable stroke is disposed in the needle section for controlling an injection of fuel through the at least one injection hole. A pressure booster is provided for increasing a fuel injection pressure relative to a system pressure. For this purpose, the pressure booster has a double-diameter or stepped piston, a control rod, and a pressure booster bottom which together form the boundary of a coupling chamber. A coupling path extends into the control rod and connects the coupling chamber, over a valve device which is located outside or within the injector, to a high-pressure supply of fuel.

Injector for a fuel injection system

Disclosed is a fuel injection device comprising a housing and a valve element disposed therein and cooperating with a valve seat located in the area of at least one fuel discharge port. The valve element is composed of several parts while at least two parts of the valve element are coupled to each other via a hydraulic coupler.

Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine using direct fuel injection

The invention relates to a magnet valve for actuating a fuel injector, having a magnet core and magnet coil received in the core. A closing spring acts on the magnet armature in the closing direction. An outlet gap for an actuating fluid is formed between a face end of the stop sleeve, oriented toward the magnet armature, and the magnet armature itself. The outlet gap discharges into a hydraulic damping chamber, which is defined by a face end of the magnet armature and by a damping face of the non-magnetic material.

The fuel injection system has a high-pressure pump that delivers fuel to an accumulator and fuel supply pump delivers fuel to the suction side of the high-pressure pump, with a fuel metering unit between the fuel supply and high-pressure pumps to variably adjust the fuel quantity taken in by the high-pressure pump. The accumulator is connected to at least one fuel injector and a return leads from the fuel injector(s). The fuel return from the injector(s) feeds into the connection between the fuel supply pump and the fuel metering unit. A connection controlled by a pressure valve leads from the fuel return to a discharge region. The high-pressure pump only draws fuel from the fuel return in operating states in which the fuel quantity delivered by the fuel supply pump is less than the required intake quantity of the high-pressure pump.

Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine

A fuel injection nozzle is proposed, in which an inner nozzle needle and an outer nozzle needle can be actuated independently of one another. Upon opening of the outer nozzle needle, a stream of fuel is injected into the combustion chamber in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the fuel injection nozzle, while upon opening of the inner nozzle needle, the fuel is injected laterally into the combustion chamber.
